This is the hottest case of media manipulation that has ever existed and I personally say fuck them!

Our local media has become very responsible and respectful recently. At least the channel I watch did. Iām grateful for it. I want the facts, and by some miracle Iām getting them. The national media? Ehh, Iāve seen worse. But I canāt stomach much more of them.

In summary we are on watch and shoot for further official govt announcements. What is clear is that governments and even field experts are improvising and nobody knows scientifically or socially the outcome of all this, nor the measures required. I canāt help but feel we are faced with two primary issues in the short term. One is a virus, over which you have only an illusory level of control (you may get it but the odds are that youāll be fine), and the other is a mental health virus, spread by the mainstream media and social media, which you probably already have, but over which you have complete control if you wish and have the discipline
Social distancing will likely prove vital in the former, but doubly so in the latter, to lockdown or quarantine the news feeds, information, data, alarm, panic, depression and madness. The effect of ingesting constant negative information, little of which actually informs you of anything you need to know-but just confirms it-or worse still-just gossip, rumour, or political point scoring is something you have total control over.
Our forefathers have lived through and this and worse before, so imagine what it would be like in WWII if people were informed 24/7 of the advance of every wing of German bombers, the death toll, the yield of different types of bombs, their effect and your chances of being hit!
You can stop looking, remove some of these social media apps from your phone or limit their use to positive outlets and features only. Avoid the msm. Explore self control. Donāt watch the news or read the newspapers, do not spread fear or panic to others just to reassure yourself or make yourself feel better through shared burden, especially to the young or elderly who are less able to cope. Donāt switch off, just turn all the noise down to a level that your soft brain tissue can cope with.

All of my friends in Prague are out of work aswell right now because theyve closee all the bars, clubs and restaurants for 10 days. These guys live on their tips - Their wage is barely worth thinking about.

I get it that people are going to suffer because their jobs are closed for a short period of time. They will survive, even if itās very uncomfortable. You know who wont survive if evasive measures arent implemented? A whole lot of people.
That short period of time for people who arent high earners, are single parents, sole earners, those who cant afford to have that time off, that cancelled train service, that forced closureā¦ is more likely to cripple society than a virus that most people will be recover from if they even get it.
In some cases, businesses are still going to pay their employees and the rest can file for unemployment. Not the ideal situation, but better than a kick in the nuts, a slap in the face, and a purple nurple while whistling Zippity-Doo-Da
Iām glad heās coping well. Me not so much. My anxiety is at about 10++. Been a hard day. Waiting for word from work about who needs to report. Nothingā¦crickets. And Iāve been sick. I might just stay home tomorrow. Still feeling icky because of the antibiotics.
