I’m not sure exactly what you mean, but I really like the idea of a pillowcase. My Mom likes decorative pillows. Thanks!
I think you do know already but anyway: something like this, then crochet a nice cover for it with the yarn you bought. Heart shaped pillow insert
It’s been a while since I’ve been here, but I’ve picked crocheting back up in the past couple months. I’m in the process of making a blanket for my couch. Just a simple double crochet in a teal (though the picture makes it look blue).
I’ve never thought of heart shaped pillows. That’s an interesting idea.
That’s how I should make my blankets, double crochet with some yarn like this.
Hobby lobby has the best cotton yarn.
That’s beautiful!! I find that double crochet goes a bit faster, but it’s still something I can do while watching Netflix. I will have to check out hobby lobby soon. I haven’t been there in months, but it’s not usually the place I think of for yarn. So very great to know!
This is really nicely done, love the shades and the double stitch fits really well with the strenght of the yarn! I want to start making blankets. Made a pullover for my man, a couple headbands and wee knick-knacks this winter, one of those colourfull patch-style blankets is next on the agenda, if youse know what I mean!
That’s funny and cute lol
Patch, like granny square? I love making granny squares from scraps and having a random patch blanket. Haven’t made one of those in years!
Damn that first word… Of the title of the topic I mean.
Say it out loud.
I’d say /kroschetiers/ cos it’s extra funny and doesn’t sound like what you think!
I had to Google granny square, it really shows I’m more a knitter haha, but yes that’s exactly what I mean! I never made one but figure it’ll be more agreeable to make in the warmer months with the cotton yarns than wooly things, plus the wee patches, won’t be so warm and bothersome as large knitted things… Do you have a foto of one you made?
I have never been to hobby lobby.
Looks like I need to go
Also visit Joann’s if you’re not focused on cotton.
I went there the other day because I get coupons. I usually buy my wool blends from there.
My mother was amazing at knit and crotchet, she passed away in 2018 and I was gifted 3 huge garbage bags full of cotton, wool, alpaca, and acrylic goodness.
I need to find a good way to organize it all.
I found this cute little shop on etsy that spins their own blends.
Love stitchin Stacey
Oh wow that’s special! Pretty much what I have in mind, but bigger squares. Omg did you go to the length to lay them all out for my benefit? I hope not but thanks so much for the pic!
