Just curious if youâve ever done the Insanity or PX90 workouts? Wondering how this program compares?
No worriesâŠwas just curious. Hope you are enjoying the workouts
Following my Garmin adaptive training program I did yesterday 11km run. The weather was awful, rainy, so had to go to a gym where is constantly like 26°C and promised myself to run next time outside whatever the weather will be, always better than in that heat. Anyways, purpose of the training were repetitive intervals at race pace. 15 minutes warm up, plan was 10mins at 4:25 pace but set the treadmill at 4:15 as itâs kinda easier to run on a treadmill compared to real life. Being an extremist a bit, I also increased ascent to 1° to kind of imitate real life conditions out there. Well, it was really hard. After almost 5 mins I had to pause for some tens of seconds, then tried again. Long story short, another three 5mins intervals ranging from 4:16 to 4:25 approx followed by walking cyclesâŠFelt good

Long (7km) walk, quite fast (I was walking alone, without minions slowing me down. Great thing, must do it more often).
20min restorative yoga (finally!)
Feeling sad today Iâve been having a pain in my hip but it seemed better. Saturday I tried for a run and made it 2 miles before limping home. I googled and my educated guess is hip buritis which is basically just inflammation and rest is the cure. I didnât run yesterday and my hip does feel a little better today. Google says it could take up to 6 weeks to heal. I plan to take a week off and do yoga and walking and upper body stuff and hopefully get a short trial run next weekend. I quit the half marathon plan I was working though. Itâs not that I havenât done one I was just doing the plan for the hell of it. I feel like a quitter, which brings up all kinds of other feelings. I only had 2 weeks left in the plan. I hate quitting something I committed to.
Oh Iâm so sorry love. I hate that our bodies are hindering our progress and stifling our motivation.
You are not a quitter! I see you kicking ass and moving like a badass. You do need to take this time to rest and heal so that you can continue your fitness journey for life.
Sending love and healing vibes your way. Hoping that the yoga helps lessen the pain
Easy pads session at the gym with the wife.
Then some push ups, squats, and sit ups.

45 minutes pool aerobics. I am a bit disappointed that I was doing so great before this knee thing happened. Letting dark thoughts telling me I wonât get back where I was after hip surgery. Time will tell.
Iâm sorry about your knee love. Way to go on getting in the pool today. Donât let those dark thoughts invade your mental space. Be proud of yourself today and for what you are pushing through. You had two major surgeries this year! Donât forget that. It takes time to recover and heal. Please be gentle with yourself
Sending you hugs!
Thanks my friend. It is true hip is at 90%. Just donât want the knees to start acting up. Iâm good.
