Perhaps a private message between you and @anon42928441 would be more appropriate at this time?
As always, the rules of the forum also apply to PMs.

No problem, just offering options that are less disruptive to the forum in general.
In my experience, newer members can find these back and forth situations confusing and unnerving…and we all know how raw early days can be. We are here for sobriety and support, first and foremost.
Just to clear I didn’t flag the meme. I actually found it be pretty funny
Personally I’m never so steadfast in my beliefs that I’m not willing to change them over time. I’ve oscillated between loving my church growing up, to hating religion, to not believing in anything, to having a higher power. At the time those were the beliefs that I needed I suppose. When it comes to God I don’t believe there is a right or wrong. God can either exist or not exist. Intelligent design is also a possibility. To much unknown out there for any of it to be proven. My belief system as it stands today works for me, but changes as I change, my belief system is neither right nor wrong. It is simply just mine
Change is definitely one of the only constants I continue to experience. And I find as I age, especially now in my sober 60s, change is even more prevelant. Certainly what I believed in my 20s, 30s, 40s has tempered and evolved with time, experience and changing mores, culture, knowledge, science, to name some…but not all influences.
My dad commented not long ago how my views are vastly different than 15 years ago. And I was very happy to hear that lol. Sunk cost fallacy is an interesting study in this
Gunning for that top spot again?
Definitely a compliment!! When I describe old friends as same as they were in high school …it is more of a sad description. Tho I can honestly say my drinking and drug use kept me at that party / mind frame for many decades…so I am not casting stones.
My alcoholic belief system was definitely askew but also did for me exactly what I wanted it to. It fit my narrative. I didn’t want to think sky daddy was up there judging me
Why am I hearing, “Gee Mrs. Cleaver, that dress is really fetching on you.”
Glad you said it before I did!
I’m not the only one who took issue with it and I have zero regrets about what I said.
Now for me, personally - I don’t particularly like you in general and I haven’t for a good, long while. Very few here that I can say that about. So let’s steer clear of eachother and leave it at that.
Back to the topic at hand.
We haven’t legalized guns and we have only had a handfull f shootings in last decades.
Please explain me how this is nöt in the realm of control…
You’ll notice that I have, up until now.
However, I will call out bullshit when I see it.
Are we done here?
Hi April, I’m referring you to rule nr. 9 from the Talking Sober Rules and Guidelines : Stick to the language that the topic was originally created in. All languages are welcome, but please do so in separate topics.
So a topic in Spanish is fine. No English needed. If you want to know what’s being said, you can always use Google translate or something similar.
I was asking in English because there are people that do not understand how to read that.
Why I was flagged is beyond me.
I was asking for translation in English.
As was mentioned, thread replies should be in the language of the original post. That language doesn’t have to be English. All languages are welcome.
If you would like to understand a thread not in your native language, perhaps a tool like Google translate can help. But please do keep posts in the language of the first post. Thank you!
