Among other things it’s the right against self incrimination.

This is a bit myopic, IMHO. Pie can be filled with other ingredients making it an entree: chicken and beef pot pie. Shepherd’s Pie. Jamaican Jerk Pie.

Cake? Just crab cake, which is a fine meal, but cake is nowhere near as versatile as pie.

Is dump cake an entree? I’ve only had apple cinnamon dump cake, which was fantastic, but lacked meat or vegetables.

As long as it works on you I am happy!
I lost my calm as well earlier… But I’ll manage.

And how the hell did that header appear above my reply with the picture that is freaking awesome

Well, I am usually pretty calm. But I do need to be more cognizant of judging others. A work in progress.

I realise that you were just raising an ironic point here
Just like to say Mario that pubs are social places.
Just because we are alcoholics doesn’t mean we can’t visit them.
All we have to do is make peace with the fact that we don’t drink.
Pubs are not places to be scared of. Our relationship with ourselves is where the fear is. Trusting ourselves not to drink. Even when surrounded by it.
I go to the pub quite regularly. But I don’t drink.
So I have no fear of pubs.
Keep smiling buddy

That’s fine geoff
and you were right in your Assesment.
It is ironic and weird… If you have a phone you have bunch of pics. Why choose one at a pub

I personally don’t think a pub is just a social thing.
IMO it is really setup with purpose to sell as much alcohol (biggest margin) as possible.
the walls aren’t dressed with orange juice signing
and if you don’t drink there you are an exception.
has nothing to do with fear or being scared as you suggest don’t know why that came to mind?

This varies depending on where you are. From what I’m told by my British contacts, and I’m sure @anon12657779 can tell you, in the UK it’s absolutely a social thing (not that they can’t be about alcohol too to an extent). Here in Canada, less so, it’s more about a place to drink. I’m intrigued by how culture is different everywhere you go.
