I have several favorites, but my go to is Psalms 46:10 "Be still, and know that I am God"
Reminds me to slow down, and stop trying to always fix everything. Relinquishing the need to control.
“Yet even now,” says the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning; and tear your hearts and not your garments.” I love this one, because it’s a good reminder that it’s never too late to return to Him.
Edit: That’s from Joel 2:12-13
One of my favorites from the bible that i quoted in another thread: Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”
I know you said bible and I love the bible, but another scripture that has been very impactful to me is from The Book of Mormon, Ether 12:27 “And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.”
I’ll definitely join in with you.
My tried and true. That I lean on a lot.
Do you not know?
have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the Earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths will grow tired and weary,
and young men stumbled and fall;
but those who Hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40: 28-31
By the way.

1:2-4
How long, Lord, must I call for help,
but you do not listen?
Or cry out to you, “Violence!”
but you do not save?
Why do you make me look at injustice?
Why do you tolerate wrongdoing?
Destruction and violence are before me;
there is strife, and conflict abounds.
Therefore the law is paralyzed,
and justice never prevails.
The wicked hem in the righteous,
so that justice is perverted.
It’s so nice to have those memories. For me it was my grandfather. I still have his Bible today. I think it’s an old King James Version. Pages falling out and real ratty. I’m not to attached to many family heirlooms but that Bible sure is special. I don’t touch it. It’s too fragile.
I heard this when I was very young in Mass and loved it. I think it’s my favorite. Although it may not specifically be a Bible Verse, it is taught in many religions.
I had that put on my parents gravestone when my Dad died. He went first.
So do not fear for I am with you
Isaiah 41:10
Whether they wanted it or not!
And get this. My son gave me a little devotional book with a daily Bible verse from the chapel they got married in 2019. Guess what the reading was on September 10? My Dads birthday.
Isaiah 41:10.
What kind of effing coincidence is that?
I think not.
The righteousness of the blameless will smooth his way, But the wicked will fall by his own wickedness.
Proverbs 11:5
This is one of them I have so many I love God’s living word,thank you for starting this thread.
