@Juli1 I recommend giving it a go at least once I’m going back when I’ve got more money. I’m doing something for exercise each day mainly for my mind I’ve been told it helps enormously …….and it did :+1:

Proud of you!!!
That is hard fricken work and dedication. Congratulations my friend

I did a blt class today . Only my Second time ever in a gym class. It was really fast and intense . I’m feeling very stressed out about it ,almost to the point of being upset .I’m finding it really hard to follow the steps and make my arms and legs do what others are doing .some of the ladies weren’t very nice about me and they weren’t quiet about it either😞 I feel really lost . Does it get easier , will I start to get it right . I’m going to go back because I’m a stubborn mf and I enjoyed it .just would like some friendly advice

F*ck what they think and say.

You belong in that class just like everyone else. And those snobs started off confused and herky jerky too. Give them a big old smile, and tell them “Bless your heart”.

@SinceIAwoke Thank you❤️ I needed to hear that . I’m in my own bubble of acceptance , kindness, love and giving back to each other . I forgot the outside world doesn’t always have that . I seriously haven’t encountered females like that since school . I’ll keep pushing on

Aw that sucks. Folk who need to put down newcomers to their sport when they could empower them really have narrow heart syndrome. Fuck them.

That’s all you need.

Youll get better at it, the more you do it. Same as everything! Enjoy!

Sounds a bit naughty that Corine,im surprised but happy you didn’t let rip at these ladies who didn’t welcome you properly

Try and practice a bit at home and before you know it youll be flying around the place.
and when any newcomers start while your there show these ladies how to welcome someone properly!!

Damm that’s a good lunge . I’m really unsteady when I do them any tips for balancing better

I’m also horrible at lunges. The instructor advises that you need a good deep distance between front and back foot, and to make sure feet are parallel. If it’s still detrimental and you can’t really get a good form, then do a deep squat instead. I always squat instead as I just find lunges vile and already have crepitus in my knee joints. I just find them very uncomfortable.

Also, you can use a weight bar with no weights on and stand it upright to hold as you lunge (like a staff); for balance and to check you are not leanng forward on your knee at all (you will damage it). A good lunge should be chest upright and sinking down directly from your hips. It’s a vertical drop rather than any leaning anywhere! I hate them personally.

Thank you @Tragicfarinelli i really hate them and am not improving I think I’ll stick to the squats I’m good at them . Doc told me not long ago he thinks I’ve got arthritis in my knees that’s why I gave up jogging :kissing_heart:

Yeah, I am more than happy with squats and get good results for leg strength. Good luck, sounds like you are smashing it.
