“No Knead” Bread
Ingredients:
-
3 cups (450g) flour
-
2 tsp instant or rapid rise yeast
-
2 tsp kosher salt
-
1.5 cups (375 ml) very warm water
Directions:
-
Mix dry ingredients, then add water, mixing till its “wet and sloppy” and not kneadable
-
Cover with cling wrap then place it in a warm place (25 – 30 C / 77 – 86 F) for 2 hours.
-
30 minutes before the dough is finished rising, preheat oven to 230 C/450 F and put Dutch oven (or cast iron) in while it preheats
-
Scrape dough out of bowl onto floured surface and shape roughly to deflate
-
Flip dough upside down onto a piece of parchment paper, placing the shaped side underneath
-
Place paper and dough in the Dutch over (or cast iron) and bake for 30 minutes with the lid, 15 minutes without the lid
-
Remove from oven, let cool for 10 minutes and dig in!
Hope it works out for anyone who try’s it as well as it has for me! I bake 1-2 loafs a week ![]()
