Foodies Unite #2

Having so much fun on a Saturday night. Can’t believe I’m awake and doing things at almost 10 pm. I’m making my first whole wheat loaf. Could be a new addiction? :thinking:

Thanks for the inspiration @Olivia

You got that right. I’m hoping I can manage my new found love of baking bread. I lost 45 pounds on my sober journey this year. So I’m feeling confident I can start working some bread back into my diet. It’s hard to figure out the calories though. But moderation is always the key.

It’s not my blog, but it was the easiest recipe I could find. We usually buy ours as pre-made powder here because it’s quick and easy. It’s very sweet, and the Icecream is used to cool it down quickly, and to make kids like it more because it’s full with Vitamins. When I was a kid my grandmother sliced banans in for us as well :blush:

Nothing fancy or special, Swedish meatballs with gluten-free corn pasta. For the first time in years I’m eating gluten-free pasta and dairy free food. I don’t think cornbased pasta existed when I was a kid, and it doesn’t really taste like real pasta. But it was delicious anyway,not anything like the woodenlike texture or flavor I remembered from my childhood :blush:

I’ve heard great things about the Gluten Free diet and how great it can make you feel. You’ll be playing tennis like Novak Djokovic in no time. :joy:. He says that diet saved his life.

I thought of you while watching this. I haven’t tried it but figured that ya North Muericans might like it since well… Peanut butter :slight_smile:

(Come to think of it I have no clue where you’re at, Chiron :sweat_smile:)

Peanut Butter?? I love love love peanut butter. The organic good kind. Just peanuts. I’m book marking this and will look at it later. Can’t wait. I can put peanut butter on anything. But not pizza though :grimacing:

@MrsOdh
Finally watched Swedish Fika :joy:
Loved it. :heart: Truthfully I thought it was another recipe for a chocolate or a sweet bread. That was so cute. I do like that tradition. Those guys were great. Thanks for sharing. Needless to say we don’t do that over here. Rush rush rush rush.
:pray::heart:

Are you trying to fatten me up??
I love peanut butter as I mentioned. I’m not sure about a peanut butter bread :interrobang:
But I’m sure as heck going to try this. Good thing I lost another pound this week. I wasn’t suppose to so I got a few to spare :joy:
He even mentions bacon with his peanut butter. I’m embarrassed to say I love a bacon and peanut butter sandwich on a Thomas’s English muffin. Yes I do❗️and with ketchup.

Later this week I can have my Fika with Peanut butter bread :coffee:
Thanks

Yes, Hersheys tastes like our cheap baking chocolate. But I have to admit that I prefer Marabou (that isn’t even Swedish anymore) before Fazer, but neither are comparable to Hersheys. That’s the only thing I miss while in U.S decent chocolate. :blush:
