Foodies Unite #2

Nope you guys don’t. I’m trying to teach my U.S friends and family but that seems to take a while. Good thing is that Southerners usually aren’t in a rush doing anything, so it might work

@MrsOdh You’re Swedish so it’s expected for you to root for Marabou :joy: We have it too, it’s ok but a bit too sugary sweet for me  And I definitely miss Fazer when not in Finland. Except if I were to go to Switzerland :yum:

@Dazercat I like bacon too! :joy: :yum: Haha. Ppl might think that’s not ladylike but meh. You like what u like
NO WAY am I trying to fatten you up! I would NEVER do that to you by posting this sort of Finnish pancake recipe to try bc… Um… oops

I do mine a bit differently but hey, ‘that’s the way, aha, I like it, aha aha…’
Hey, @Milele, you serial baker, we need you on this thread!

So many threads, so little time! Thanks for the invite! :kissing_heart:

Okay so, by popular demand, and by popular I mean @Olivia :joy: here’s a pic of the rhubarb juice I made, with a hint of vanilla. Not technically food, but it does go inside you stomach and it’s tasty! Plus, it’s in a fancy glass! :star_struck:

That’s exactly on point actually. I like Marabou better because it’s sweeter. Also I want to add that Fazer does a lot of my my favorite candies besides chocolate.

Got a new cooking book today. Looks great. If I’m really going to use it a lot it will push my cooking to a higher level. I do need some more kitchen equipment. Ordered a mandoline today, still looking for a food processor. A really good one costs around 300 euros, that might be a bit too much for the amount I will use it. Or is it worth it? Going to think about it a bit. A decent one costs only half.

I forgot yesterday’s smoothie. It’s so good I’m posting it today.

I love carrot cake and this is like drinking a carrot cake shake or smoothie.

This looks like an interesting recipe to try and make. I’m not a huge fan of peanut butter, buuuut I’m pretty sure my SO would be into this. I will never say no to a baking challenge!

(And I am in North Muerica  )

@Dazercat here’s another one for you. A bit more advanced  I post a lot from this particular channel but I like the way he talks about the science behind baking/cooking. Not to mention he includes his failures too

Haven’t tried this one. I broke my dutch oven weeks ago and haven’t been able to afford a new one so most of my bread baking is on halt…
