I made one of my more gastronomic
dishes tonight🤪.
Opened a can of cream of mushroom soup and a can of cream of chicken soup and dumped it in top of some chicken and baked it. Served with rice

It’s actually pretty good and comforting. And not too easy

We like them with dried cranberries too or celery with cream cheese and everything bagel seasoning or cream cheese and friend cranberries.

Requested a few times a weeks from the kids.

Well I still eat meat so it’s not vegan, at least not yet. I’m picky with the meat though. Usually it’s chicken, beef or “wild meat” like wild boar, moose, Reindeer or something like that.
But it’s definitely working, I used to be a vegean when I was young and wild so luckily I’ve got a lot of “free” knowledge on how to make non dairy food. The gluten-free thing is still tricky, but I’ll find out eventually

No cramps for about two weeks, it feels really strange to eat without pain.

I hope your day is lovely.

I’ll leave Santa’s Reindeers alone.

Years ago when my father worked in Brazil he came back home with a team from there he was going to continue working with. They got to stay in our house for a few months before going back home. Ma made Reindeer stew, they loved it, and asked what kind if meat it was. Ma explained and all of them a team of five grown men got devastated because they’ve eaten Santa’s animals so Ma had to promise to not make it again :joy:
It’s common here, in stews, as steaks, or in sausage. We also have deer, moose, bear, Wildboar, pheasant, hare and some other things. I prefer wildboar, it’s not nearly as expensive as the other options and easy acess.

:joy: I’m a Swede, we think pickled Herring and fisheggs that we put in a tube with cheese is a good thing to eat (Swedish Caviar, don’t try it)

I’m also a gypsy we eat Hotchiwitchi (Hedgehog stew) not nowadays though because hedgehogs are protected here. My grandmother did when she was a child, and as always in gypsy recipes the ingredients are always adaptable

Walkers crisps developed a hedgehog flavoured edition with the help of gypsies who baked them in clay. Funnily enough they tasted exactly how I expected them to. :yum:

I made a stack of blueberry pancakes with fresh strawberries and maple syrup

We might need to add that “No hedgehogs where harmed in the making of those crisps” :joy: but yes they did.

Oh halibut. One of my favorites. The sad part about moving to the Midwest has been the lack of access to good fresh fish. In AZ I never had a problem finding good stuff, might have been previously frozen but still fresh enough. Not here.
