I actually got it frozen from Pacific Seafood recommended by Jason fisher. They come in 6 oz portions but you got to buy 8 of them. It’s a little pricy. I liked it but wifey thought it was a bit fishy. It wasn’t. It’s fish! She’s a beef and potatoes wife. I also got 8 portions of 6 oz salmon. It doesn’t take up much room in the freezer. I’m thinking of making Halibut sandwiches during the week once and awhile for myself. Perfect size and thickness.
I have researched some of those companies who will send frozen fish. Glad to get your review. I have a big freezer arriving next week and can’t wait to stock it up! Might have to look into some fish, too. Halibut is super pricy here and you can’t ever find it hardly so I’d be willing to order some. Salmon is always my #1. But a good smoked whitefish oh man…delish! And I’m loving catfish these days too. I’ve lived on the Mississippi River for almost 4 years now and it’s the best thing. Always have loved eating fish, I guess. Give me all the fish!!!
I think your on the wrong thread. The meme thread is down the hall and on your left
It’s no fun posting there
That is just not right…
Meat pies with a cheddar crust on the top photo.
Crackers made from left over dough on the bottom (they’re delicious with jam )
Lol!! So it’s not photoshopped?
Hedgehog stew
@Apes2020 all Nordic countries (in Europe) eat reindeer. The reindeer owners traditionally use everything from the animal for something. Not just the meat. My town sells reindeer pizza, reindeer burgers etc.
I guess Santa has a new Rudolph each year
My daily food is nice but not really worth posting… So I’ll stick to baking posts for now
Here are some stages of Finnish rye in the making
These two were the saddest individuals I couldn’t be bothered to freeze. Remembered the pic only after I had packed all other breads away.
That’s right, never had Reindeer pizza though. I’ll try that if I ever go to your town.
I say to my kids that we don’t eat magical Reindeers so Santa is safe
Ah and yes Hedgehog stew, the old time gypsies got whatever they could. Usually they weren’t allowed inside the city walls, so hedgehog, chicken, fish, hare, rabbit, whatever they could catch could make a meal.
NIce! I want to learn that. I use my kefir culture to make a mother sourdough from rye but with not realy happy results so far.
might give it another try this weekend and might pick your brain if that is ok
Sounds nice! Good luck! Sure, I’m happy to help
how have u been???
So for anyone that hasn’t followed my best friend started a thing when I got sober. For every 10 days sober I got tacos. Yeasterday was 243 days which means I had leftover taco stuff…my 8 year old requested nachos.
Ya my rye loaf came out like shit. I’m learning all about mixing the different flours though. I made just a plain white Boule the other day and it came out the best of all my loafs so far. At least I’m learning.
I’m also learning when I buy bananas that I want to eat they go bad fast. But when I buy bananas that I want to brown so I can use in banana bread they stay riper longer . Up next banana bread.
Ha ha! I’m sorry to disappoint, but I have a truly Midwestern/Michigander accent. Mostly an American “non-accent” with a bit of a nasal edge and weird Michigan pronunciations, being a northern-most state. The Mississippi River travels the full extent of the nation, from top to bottom. You’re thinking of the Southern region, aka the Mississippi Delta - those are truly some deep Southern accents down there!
Realy nice. I Love horses! butta… this is the foody thread. I hope you are not planning on putting it on the bbq?
