My grandma used to iron sheets! And now every time I make the bed with my wrinkled sheets I think of how much nicer it would be if they were crisp and ironed…but I have never done it!

Carnitas, (almost) start to finish. For those who don’t know, here’s my version: Pork shoulder trimmed and marinated in citrus and spices (cumin, oregano, full crushed garlic cloves inserted into slits in the roast, fresh squeezed orange and lime juice, chipotles in adobo diced, and some salt and fresh ground black pepper). All in the slow cooker for 8 hours on low. Then shredded and under the broiler till crisped up. Tacos with chopped cilantro (coriander for the non-Americans) and white onion, some garden salsa verde from the freezer, and shredded green cabbage. When someone says “OH my god” when eating your food, you know you did something right.
