Thank you, this is great
Ahhhh OK gotta that makes sense when you explain it that way
After a long bike ride and an intense talk to my new therapist I lost my appetite to cook but not my appetite. So I had sushi delivered.
Maple soy glazed rainbow trout, rice cooked in my chicken stock, and the leftover roasted broccoli & sautéed cabbage (corn for the boys )
Great Northern Bean, Kale and Ham soup. I let it simmer extra long and it’s silky and so tasty. I’m about to try my hand at cornbread from scratch, wish me luck!
Chickpea and vegetable cassoulet oven cooked spiced chicken, raw cabbage mixed seeds and balsamic dressing
Too worn out to make the cornbread tonight, but the resulting giant cauldron of soup has become frozen portions for future cold days! We’re expecting 72 deg tomorrow
That looks like tadpoles lol? Are they alfalfa sprouts and or bean sprouts lol??
It’s a mixture of different seeds
And cool, already 200 days. Time is running
I remember I got so much joy In school when I learnt how to grow seeds in cotton wool balls and water lol … Did you do that in school as a kid as well?
Maybe not in school I think. But wait we had something like guarding in the first 4 years but that was ex-GDR
This looks so wholesome I really miss lentils and beans, especially in soups like this in cold weather Unfortunately they tend to set of my GI problems.
There is a digestive enzyme here called Beano (and others) that for many can help with the GI issues associated with beans and other gassy food, indigestible carbohydrates. You take with the troublesome meal. Although doesn’t necessarily work for everyone. You might have tried, but thought I’d pass along in case you’re not familiar and you had something similar there
I forgot the ‘support your locals’ food delivery service messed up last week. So I was very pleasantly surprised to have this assorted Dutch cheeses delivered to my doorstep a week late. It’s my bd and this is totally right for the occasion. My god it’s good stuff. This was lunch. I will probably finish it in a day or 2. I won’t need much more food this weekend, certainly not for the calories
Looks delicious!! Happy birthday, Menno. Hope you have a wonderful day
Thanks, that interesting. Seems like we have similar things in the UK. I want to read more about stomach enzymes now, I wonder if that has a part to play in the problems I have. I’ve been having a bit of a flare up of recently and I’m not sure why.
What a treat! Happy special 55th birthday! I love cheese!!!
