How do you eat hot dogs if not with ketchup? I even put ketchup on my corn dogs. It’s a kind of hot dog, and that means it goes best with ketchup. And the Vegan ones are usually really good (but expensive at least over here)

Brown mustard a relish.
I’ve never heard of people eating hot dogs with ketchup.

:joy: Our American friends had never heard of people having ketchup on pasta either. It’s common here, ketchup goes on hot dogs, pasta, fried eggs, fried potatoes, meatballs (if you don’t have them with cream gravy and lingonberry jam) chicken nuggets, French fries, fish sticks, burgers and a lot of other things.
I recently got to know that there’s some Americans putting ketchup on meatloaf, I’ve never heard that before. We eat ours with lingonberry jam and brown our cream gravy.

Relish is chopped pickled cucumber and paprika, right? We call that Boston cucumber here, we also have chopped pickled cucumber mixed with mayonnaise that’s Cucumbermayo. :joy::blush:

Yes the relish is a chopped pickled cucumbers.
Always always have ketchup on meatloaf.
Wifey likes ketchup on her scrambled eggs. I use to but I don’t do that anymore. Ketchup goes on macaroni and cheese. Wifey would never do that. Mayonnaise goes on burgers.
Maybe a mustard and Mayo mix sometimes.

I think it’s fun to see what other people put on their food and how different we are.

Except that pineapple on pizza business :scream::rofl:

Lingonberry jam on a meatloaf? Now I never heard of that. Does that add a sweetness to it I guess. Sounds interesting. I like sweet and spicy meats.

I do like my sausage. Kielbasa or Polish sausage with ketchup though. But I like to mix my ketchup with horseradish. I just love horseradish as a spicy condiment.

Now to google lingonberry again.

I did a little bit of  at the ketchup on pasta thing  my SO puts ketchup on his eggs and other random things too. For me ketchup is for hamburgers, hot dogs, meatloaf, and hashbrowns. Occasionally fries.

It’s always so fun and interesting to see how people eat their food! I love it. @Dazercat

Exactly this with me. I have so many extra baked good in my freezer because with covid I’m only offering food to the neighbors and people I know well. I don’t want to possibly put anyone in the position where they don’t feel comfortable getting random food but also don’t want to offend by not taking it.

Carnitas from the hog I raised. It’s so delicious and I cannot wait for some tacos or a taco salad!

Looks bomb! And how special that you raised the hog. Awesome.

Finally got around to making my cornbread! It looks and smells awesome, am about to try a piece.

Oh. My. Goodness. So much better than the Jiffy box of cornbread mix!!! Helps to use Bob’s Red Mill organic coarse ground cornmeal, too. The recipe only calls for two tblsp of granulated sugar, which is nice. Of course I put honey on it. Sugar reduction starts again tomorrow!

Honey without cornbread on it? Impossible!!
Looks great. :yum:

Another football and baking Sunday here again for me. I’d be well into the second six pack or asleep from bloody Mary’s by now. Sober life = good life

Gorgeous. I hope to finally try my hand at bread baking this week. I’ve been :rooster: thus far. And yes to the cornbread with my honey, especially this raw unfiltered stuff I got from an urban beekeeper. Pretty amazing stuff!

On the ketchup topic, I’m not much of a fan. A bit occasionally on a burger or fries sometimes (I’d rather mayo or better yet gravy on fries :yum:)
Tonight’s supper was bbq burgers from our wonderful organic farming neighbours. Topping for mine were mayo, grainy Dijon, dill pickle slices, bacon, cheese and kimchi sauerkraut (I’m trying to increase my spice tolerance; I’m a whimp lol)

My kinda toppings! At first I thought you put a fried egg on your burger, haha! How was the kimchi for you? I love the stuff but never thought about putting it on a burger.

That was your pet pig lol!? :pig:… I grew up as a child with my Tongan family, big Tongan family who would have hungie’s every other weekend and special occasion. They kill the pig and cook it in the ground all day… It’s a nice tradition, but I think it contributed to me wanting to be a vet or a zoologist as a kid lol. I kept seeing these cute pigs being killed and my parents and family ate them , so I think it was a moment of shaping me as an adult lol :joy:… I use to love pork, anything pork was yummy, but now I don’t really choose it. Once in a blue moon il have it but I try eat vegan as much as I can.

Ummm salty that looks so yummy! I want a burger now!! In Australia we love to put beetroot on our burgers! Does anyone else like beetroot on a hamburger?? :hamburger:
