Nope. We do Ruebens! Can’t wait for that tomorrow with homemade Russian dressing with plenty of horseradish.
What is this you’re talking about? I have never heard of tomato soup being made from a leftover corned beef meal.
It looks delicious @RosaCanDo. Though I have to say, I probably would have made something else until there was cabbage. Because I LOVE corned beef and cabbage. Is it a tradition for you?
Oh it’s the best. Just toss in a large can of diced tomatoes and lots of basil. Let it sit over night in the fridge. Next day you got the best soup ever.
My dad was the king of boiled Polish dinners. And leftover soup.
Yes a New Year’s Day tradition from my (sort of) Scottish grandma on my dad’s side. I already had the corned beef thawing and didn’t have much choice. But it’s okay.
Also curious about this tomato soup business @Dazercat
Happy New Year, Everyone! Happy 2022!
Black eyed peas for good luck…
@RosaCanDo it looks great, Happy New Year!
@Dazercat , course the Amish Blue makes my mouth water… yum
Your pastas you make at home always look super wonderful!
@HoofHearted and @ShesGotMoxie Wow those knives!
@Dazercat That baguette and salmon combination looks amazing.
@Salty Nice blueberry pancakes. I’m with your kid. Generally I just put butter on my pancakes and occasionally a little drop of syrup or jam. Also, OMG that cake…
@Runningfree fresh pecans are amazing. I used to live near some pecan trees when I was younger, but it’s been a long time.
I am going to need some clarification on this. I Googled Brighton Burrito and only came up with where to find burritos in Brighton.
It looks like a beautiful, happy, needs-to-be-eaten, burrito.
My apologies, yeah that was a pretty poor description. It is just a vegan burrito that I got in Brighton from a place called Wai Kika Moo Kau.
It was eaten fairly quickly.
How’re you doing with your cakes? The burrito looks wonderful! Happy New Year over there
Edit: that’s the fanciest most beautiful burrito I’ve ever seen!
Happy New Year to you too - it is very lovely for you to ask, I’m doing perhaps too well with the old cake eating.
I love seeing photos of food you have made, it always looks so fresh and delicious.
Now my kiddo and I want to go to Brighton for the restaurant and apparently there is a popular YouTuber who lives there.
I just love all the funky Cafés in Santa Monica.
The Courtyard Kitchen Is literally a courtyard in the middle of some offices, with a Pilates studio and now a barbershop. And someone put a restaurant there. The decorations are empty picture frames all over the walls with lots of plants.
Courtyard Frittata
Zesty Italian sausage baked in eggs , caramelized onions, bell peppers and goat cheeee.
With turmeric raisin toast. It’s incredible toast.
With the rejuvenator smoothie
Beets OJ and some other shit.
I feel like that chalkboard sign belongs in my kitchen haha
I love the little Nespreso cups.
We don’t use ours anymore.
It got kind of addicting. Good stuff though.
I’ve only tried of few from the sample pack it came with. I still do my normal Folgers in the morning. Them pods are a bit pricey
