Sliders are really kinda nasty too. But I love those. I canā€™t believe my wife likes them too since we are so different in food taste.

Now thatā€™s a salad. :yum:
That dressing sounds terrific.
Iā€™m feeling healthy just reading it.

Iā€™ve been craving it for a week and finally made it.
So good!

Iā€™m going to miss all the wonderful and different salads in Cali. Iā€™m just getting too lazy for all the prep in my old age. But I really can wait to eat at home and have my big kitchen back. Of course weā€™re going out to eat tonight :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Cuz of @RosaCanDo I desperately want to make a corned beef and cabbage asap. The weather is freezing here already :cold_face: And then show off the soup.
Stay tuned.
Cold weather meals coming up.

I love really unique salads. But it can be a lot of prep. Also when itā€™s cold maybe not exactly what I crave haha

Iā€™m sure you are so ready to have your kitchen back. I have to confess that all the pictures with the fur babies in the car had me cracking up. So much cuteness. But I can also imagine- a bit stressful. I say you guys earned a dinner out tonight.

I have never made corned beef. Iā€™m not sure Iā€™ve eaten it. But sounds like chilly weather food.

Callie @Callie99 if youā€™ve ever had a Rueben sandwich youā€™ve had corned beef!
Your salad does look wonderful :purple_heart:

@Alisa
Iā€™ve never had a Rueben :scream_cat::sweat_smile:
Iā€™ve seen them on menus but not ordered one.
Are they yummy?!

Yes they can be itā€™s traditional to use thousand island on them I think. A place near me uses blue cheese instead of Swiss. Corned beef, some type of cheese, dressing, sauerkraut.
Or something like that. Jasons deli used to have good oneS

Jasonā€™s Deli- my mom took us there when me and my brother were little. My mom and I both got the salad bar and they had this Chocolate mousse on it. It reminds me of childhood. I totally forgot about that place :heart:
Next time I see a Rueben I shall order it :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

@Callie99 I see on Jason Deliā€™s menu that it is either corned beef or pastramiā€¦ :thinking:
@RosaCanDo I am having the same problem with sweet potatoes, they are quickly going badā€¦ guess that means I should eat them more!
@Ceeds I want to do that! I am sure your house smells so good!
Cooked spinach under the broccoli, sweet potato, avocado, olive oil, black pepper
Edit: @Runningfree your meal looks like quite the feast! I meant to comment to start with. Happy Vacaction!

Where? Iā€™m calling the police :policewoman:
Thatā€™s sacrilege :scream:
And it must be Corned Beef.
Not pastrami. But Iā€™ll let that one slide.
@Callie99
And the sauerkraut better be on top. Not on the bottom making the grilled bread all soggy :grimacing:

Yes, that was meant as a warning to @Callie99 to check it out before ordering. Re at Jasonā€™s. Pastrami does not a Rueben make. Good info about the sauerkraut.

Haha I will look up Ruebenā€™s in my area.
Corned beef, Swiss, sauerkraut on TOP. Got it. :white_check_mark:
Stay tuned

I wish we had a Jasonā€™s.
Not as good as Katzā€™s in Austin where I use to work.
But itā€™ll do.

Reminds me of adulthood. Loved the salad bar and pudding after :yum::stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
And the frozen yogurt machine too. I had to have both.

Back to the Meadow
Where everybody knows our name. :grinning:
Itā€™s off season. They were pretty happy to have the Gā€™s back.
Blue cheese salad.

They do a great blue cheese.

California Halibut. It was calling me I had to order it. With salt mussels in a tomato broth.
It came with couscous but Iā€™m not a fan. It probably would have looked better. But I went with the sautĆ©ed brussels in a balsamic vinaigrette.

I found this linkā€¦ if you have suggestions let me knowā€¦ Do you cut the peel off before you eat the orange? Seems like that would be easiestā€¦ I am going to do mandarinsā€¦ there is a link in my posted link for tangerines that is a lot different than with orangesā€¦ It says scrape the pith away instead of cutting the peel away from the pith. I had three mandarins tonight, am saving the peelsā€¦ Thanks so much xo @Ceeds
