Grilled cheese but with some turkey and bacon bits

Per my folks’ request, beef pot roast (a lovely marbled chuck roast) with potatoes, carrots and celery and a side of boiled green beans and pearl onions. The pan sauce on this was especially good this time.

Must have the pearl onions!! They really make it special. I have not been able to find the frozen ones anymore :grimacing:. And I get too lazy to get the fresh ones. Supply chain I reckon :grimacing:
Looks great!

Thanks! Tasted great, too. I didn’t know you could get frozen ones! Pearl onions really made this meal, and I end up meditating while I prepare the fresh ones to get through the tedious nature of it.

Fresh made Caesar salad dressing.

Worcestershire and Black Pepper left out of pic by mistake :grimacing:.

It’s been ages since I’ve done that. Sounds really good - going on the menu next week!

I’ve tried for ages to find a Caesar dressing I like from the store. None of them are any good in my opinion. So every once and awhile I make this one. I use anchovy paste. It last forever in the fridge. Got to have the anchovy flavor. Screw the gout!!

My brother in law, who when to the culinary arts institute in New York, turned me on to frozen pearl onions. I had no idea either. Birdseye. If they were good enough for him. They’re good enough for me.

Totally agree that anchovy paste is a must. It’s great for adding umami to lots of different dishes, too.

Thanks, I’ll have to look for the Birdseye brand at my store!

If you find some send me a couple of bags :joy:

You all already should know this! My version of Dutch Stamppot, it is a comfort food for me. This reminds me of spring coming with the green! Potato, spinach, olive oil.
All the meals look lovely xoxo

Went to Ruth’s Chris. 22oz bone in Cowboy Ribeye. Potatoes and Asparagus to share. Peanut butter pie. I had to be rolled out of the restaurant and I have lots of leftovers.

@Dazercat That ribeye.

Marvelous. Simply marvelous Ribeye.
But that peanut butter pie. OMFG!! You are really speaking my language right here.
Nothing like a 500 degree plate with butter on it and a ribeye steak on top.
Did you touch touch the plate? :joy:
I bet you use to
Actually I bet you still do :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Vegan One pot pasta with chickpeas, tomatoes and peas. Holy crap! This is delicious! Peanut butter & coconut milk in the sauce.

Not mine! I used about 1/2 of the peanut butter. I like peanut sauce but just a hint. I Googled ingredients I had on-hand, so I could feed my meat-free kiddo. This is (kinda) what came up. Following recipes is not my favorite. I didn’t add the peanut butter in the search and almost didn’t even add it. Glad I did.

I’m the same, I’d add a slight amount at a time to taste until there was a hint of pb.

I would 100% eat this every day if I didn’t have to go to the store so often for spinach.

Good looking omelette. You got there.
I felt yokey today. I almost did a bacon, onion and cheddar omelette.
