Foodies Unite #5 (trigger warning food) TAKE ANOTHER LITTLE PIZZA MY HEART!

Yessss! I’ve tried all four! That one is yummy. I get all creative and take an orange sliver and add it in. I mix some of them too :wink:

I adore Minnie!! She has the sweetest face and gorgeous brown eyes :heart:. I’m always bummed when she’s not in your food pic.:rofl:

She thanks you :hugs:
It’s amazing how they get more sweeter and more gorgeous the older they get. She’s basically lost her hearing now. But she can definitely see just fine. I do chuckle at Max in the corner by himself thinking he’s next to you :blush:. Poor guy :blush:

We definitely liked Number 4 better. I didn’t think I’d care for them. But you know, once and awhile like this, I just thought it sounded good.

I had to google damiana… looks good.
Thank you @ELY83 I do it on the stove top in a caphalon I don’t know what it is maybe anodized aluminum non stick pan.
I put good bit of olive oil in the pan although I don’t even spread it out to cover the whole bottom.
I put the flesh side down first, maybe swish it around a bit in the oil.
After awhile I turn it. I don’t pay attention to how hot it is when I put the fish in. In fact it’s usually a very low temp when I put it in. Still heating up.
It just works. I keep the temp lower than hotter and cover about half w a tent of foil to keep the splatters down. I’ve cooked salmon for many years, used to always be in the oven in foil. Then the oven without foil and all those healthy fats trashed my oven.
Now on top and I prefer the flavor best this way. It’s delicious.
These particular pieces I also turned on their edge. They had been thawing in the fridge and were real cold possibly with a little ice still in the middle. I cook to 150 degrees with thermometer.
Bon appetit.

Amazing. Thanks so much! I think my attempt at going into a really hot pan and cooking fast and hot (while tasty in its own way for sure) had limited my thoughts as to how to get a good crust going. I am going to follow your instructions next time I get some salmon!:yellow_heart:

I like to go in hot, fast and crispy. :relaxed:
5 minutes on the skin side and just 2 on the flip side depending how thick it is.
@Alisa
But I bet there’s more than one way to cook a fish.
I never do mine in the oven or the grill anymore.
I light some Yankee candles to fight the fish smell.
But nobody asked me :rofl::rofl:

Vermont sharp white cheddar omelette. Trying to duplicate the wonderful simple cheese omelette I had at the Goring Hotel years ago. Pretty darn close. So simple. But so hard for me not to put more ingredients in an omelette.

And of course no brown eggs. We were not allowed to serve omelettes at the Mag that had any brown (burn marks) on them. Apparently I still got it!
Extra large muffy with peanut butter and apple with more peanut butter because I can’t get enough.
Never used the salsa. Didn’t need it.
Pomegranate green ice tea.
