My favourite place in town ATM. Apple, pear and spud season in full flow. harvested those myself. Didn’t go into the mushroom cave so these shiitake were picked for me. The place has such a great vibe.
One thing I seem to notice is how the organic stuff is not seeing the same increases in price as the industrial produced produce seems to experience right now, the prices of both are getting closer.
Salmon in eggs sounded so odd and off putting the first time I saw it. Safe to say I’ve been converted.

We are a leftovers household. I love repurposing leftovers. Brunch today was leftover pork and veggies hash (potato, zucchini, mushroom, asparagus) topped with a fried egg.
In the background you see a glimpse of my treasures from the night market this week, some carved wood items, spoons, spreader knives, and a muddler stick.
When you make mozza sticks for kiddo to try them for the first time and he says he doesn’t really like them, you question if you’re related… then realize there’s more for you to eat. Silver linings!
