That looks amazing! I may do a vegetarian version of this for my kiddo who is going to be home this weekend. Although it’s freaking 95 degrees. :frowning:

Please do :joy:
I want to see a different pre smoothie face depicting how your feeling each day.

That looks terrific. And it’s perfect weather and season to do it. I’ve been craving this kind of comfort food all week. I’m planning short ribs and gravy for my mashers on Sunday.

Next time, don’t go so light on the gravy

We’re still in serious summer over here. The stack: Gluten-free bagel (if you’re GF, Aldi has the best ones), Sour Cream, Dill, Cucumber, Tomato, Salmon, arugula and of course, capers! 'Twas delish. I needed something lighter for the gazillion degrees and bazillion percent humidity that will be here shortly.

I’m taking this post personal.
And I love it :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

You could have made those capers bigger though.

Oh and that cucumber on a bagel and lox, as long as it’s sliced thin, is a nice touch :+1:

You do have a squeeze of lemon and some pepper right?

:rofl: thats a harder challenge than my origional one and much more fun. We will see how much fun it is next week when im back at work.

No lemon. Yes, pepper. It’s a pretty smoky lox and I love the flavor.

You should take it personally. Anytime I eat capers and arugula in copious amounts, you will always pop into my mind and I will wonder, “What the hell is wrong with that guy’s tastebuds??!!” :kissing_heart:

Whenever we went out to eat when my kids were growing up I madevit a point to make some sort of face with any leftovers as we waited for the check. They loved it. Brings back memories

I just don’t want my salad tasting like it came from a weed whacker

Bean and cheese tacos

Early pandemic days I stocked up on the little boxes of pinto beans. And we’ve never used them.
I sautéed some onions.
Added garlic
Added the drained and rinsed pintos
A little lime juice, cumin, chili powder.
And mashed them up.
Of course grated cheddar cheese.
These are fucking awesome!
With some fire roasted corn salsa from the store.

Food from Red Lobster last weekend. Lobser, shrimp, mashed potatoes with some lobster bisque on top and a biscuit.

I honestly am not a huge fan of Red Lobster, but I wasn’t paying. They used to have pretty good clam chowder, but the last few times I’ve ordered it (like, 2 other times in the past 5 years) it was watery and tasteless. Either RL changed the recipe or the place is watering it down to get it to go farther. So it got sent back and I guess I won’t order it again. Such is the challenge when eating at a Darden restaurant. I’m more of an local independent restaurant person, but beggers can’t be choosers.

I do those as a camping breakfast taco with bacon! For some reason that trio: beans cheese bacon….it’s just works. No egg even needed (and I love egg in a breakfast taco

I like most things in my taco. But if there are beans in my taco I’m pretty much a minimalist and stick to just cheese and pico or maybe some shredded lettuce. Never eggs or pig. It’s a texture thing. It just doesn’t go. IMO.

@Chiron
The only thing you can count on at the Red Lobstah is those biscuits :yum: I don’t go often either. Like never. But the biscuits never disappoint!! They got a decent product they just don’t have line or prep cooks that can do the job for whatever reason IMO. Not where we live anyway. We gave them 3 chances. I thought that was fair.

Yeah those biscuits are awesome.

Red Lobster is owned by Darden, and a lot of food at Darden restaurants gets prepared by chef Mic. I know for sure that Olive Garden’s soups just come in a bag and they heat them up. For me, there is no reason to believe this is not the case with Red Lobster, so… Yeah I dunno. I just can’t forgive a poorly made clam chowder. Satan has a special place in his kingdom for people who make bad clam chowder.
