Foodies Unite #6 (trigger warning food) ANOTHER ONE BITES THE CRUST!

Bagel samich! Skipped breakfast and got really hungry after playing with my energetic niece all morning. Roast beef, Swiss cheese, cream cheese, brown mustard, tomato and lots of iceberg.

I switched to these small cucumbers… they are good! They are small and come in a bag where I shop, organic and non organic.

For those of you talking about Pickles, these would be great for refrigerator pickles which you can quickly make and keep in the fridge for awhile. Here is a recipe I have clipped.

I love these little cucumbers, also, though they have been going bad more quickly for me lately. Likely have traveled a ways to get to me.

I really want to learn to tolerate sardines for the health benefits but I’m not a fan… maybe if I use some mayo or cream cheese, and add capers (which I have a jar of), I can get them down… the salty tang might help… might be worth a try! I just need to make sure they’re boneless sardines…

I’ve seen pasta dish recipes with cream sauce that has mashed sardines and capers and pancetta/bacon that looks pretty yummy! Those other salty/rich flavors would probably obscure the sardines and be a place to start! And cream sauce… Just saying…

Made a batch of spelt pasta for kiddo after a busy day of trying to juggle work from home and keeping him entertained for March break, so I had a bowl too. Took an hour off work to go to the library and also got a birdwatching kit there :bird:
Spelt penne pasta, parmesan, peas, butter & olive oil.

I debated putting them in my pasta dish above with mayo! Mum and I used to make something similar with tuna and eat cold. Yummy.

The ones I got had dates on them. Still there was condensation in the bag so I opened the bag and I wrap paper towels around them.
I’m still having trouble getting sweet potatoes that last. It irks me.

I do the paper towel wrap as well.

Brat, cold shrimp (variety of seasonings) extra hot cocktail sauce and veggies. A good simple spread tonight. I need to take some notes from how my parents tend to eat.

Penne with sweet Italian sausage, garlic, poblano, tomato puree, and parmesan.
Wish I could have some :sob:

My son made this! I am so proud of him! He’s 12 and usually doesn’t have enough faith in himself to try something new (to make, not eat)

At least he doesn’t throw them under the table for Boscoe. In grade school we had peas under our jello! Yuck! Under the table they went.
Editing to add that I Love peas. Just not under my jello in elementary school.
