It is rich in b vitamins and provides that cheesy flavour that works well in pesto sauce when you want it to be vegan.
@Cjp Nooch has an umami kick that gives a rich flavor. Some seasonings with mushroom flavor work well, too. I swear by the Better than Bullion collection for adding a hit of flavor to a dish that seems lacking. They are pricey but a small amount, even a teaspoon, goes a long way. Just have to watch the sodium content.

I did it! I ate some (boneless) sardines!! mixed with mayo & capers (it was salty) and made a little half sandwich. I can’t say it was my favourite snack ever but such a great budget-friendly source of omega-3 and protein. I’ll buy again. I think much of it’s just that mental part of thinking I’m eating fishy sardines, and fear of little bones (texture thing) Maybe I’ll eat them once a week, in the office

It’s great being home, but figuring out meals with an empty fridge is a challenge. SW style chicken soup for the win. I finally tried this “hack” and puréed a big can of chipotles en adobo and froze portions for later. I also got to test out the Better than Bouillon Smoky Chipotle and it’s awesome.
This morning I noticed our cream cheese had scary looking mold so I used a garlicky herbed cheese spread for bagels for us both. I put some turkey and veg on mine. I also was shocked that the Romaine lettuce I bought over two weeks ago is still perfectly fresh after putting it in a grocery bag and tying a loose knot. Amazed!
Oh yum! I’ve not seen that bouillon flavour here yet.
I picked up this jumbo jar at my last Costco trip and didn’t realize it was lower sodium until just recently
cinnamon, clove and lemon flap jacks with peanut butter and maple syrup. We love flap jacks at our house.
They sure made it difficult to find that it’s lower sodium! I’ll have to see if I can find that here.

Healthy chicken and broccoli pasta with a side of roasted garlic. Ya I made too much too. Need to make adjustments next time. But it was really good.
I love leeks, I did not know they are good for sickness.
