Thinking of you @Salty
As my wife is trying to kill me. They have a whole section of Poutines about 8 of them and all the taters are fried in duck fat
I managed to fine something healthy.
ONE TOAST, TWO TOAST, YOU TOAST
Fresh smashed avocado, garbanzo bean hummus, tomato jam, fresh picked herb
Add cold smoked salmon.
Side fresh fruit.
Another salad night! Eric will probably put olives and ranch on his and I’ll stick with my Greek vinaigrette.
Forgot to take a picture until I was packing up leftovers…but here we go:
Roasted baby potatoes, sautéed green beans with garlic and lemon and cod with a tomato, lemon, garlic, basil sauce. Fresh and tasty dinner!
Honestly it’s been about a month since I cooked a real meal. Early pregnancy (literally all I could eat was carbs) and then moving made it impossible to cook. I’ve been eating crap and eating out for way too long. I am amazed at how much better I feel when I cook at home. It’s instantaneous and significant. Wild.
Hope things have calmed down for you so you have more fresh and healthy meals like this beautiful one! Now I’m craving fish…
It’s Sunday, pancake day
Had to change the recipe, the original is made with Joghurt. I only had curd. Curd is pretty dense so I mixed it with water to a Joghurt-like consistency
Omg this looks so so so good
I would eat this now after having some pancakes
I have high cholesterol. I’ve been on medicine for 5 years now. They told me when I was 30 it was high and to change my diet and start to exercise. I did and each year I went back and it was still high. After 3 years of trying the diet and exercise path they told me it was genetic. It has gotten a lot better over the years to where my doctor had me start taking the medicine only every few days but as soon as I changed it went back up. (I eat cheese but not red meat)
I would love this for breakfast!
It is interesting, that Poutins aren’t a big thing in Germany. Normally everything that comes over the pond sets a new fast food trend.
Christmas parade in November? I know, we’ve already opened the Christmas markets, but it sound early.
Yup, many Christmas parades, holiday lighting events etc in Canada are in late November (at least in Ontario and eastern provinces). Some areas next weekend or even week after though. It’s a great kickoff to holiday season and lovely to see lights, decorated storefronts etc
Brunch! Eggs and Mexican chorizo with pinto beans. Corn tortillas, queso fresco, cilantro, green onions, avocado, Cholula green and red hot sauces.
Growing up, I used to mash my carrots and potatoes together. This brought back memories! I’ll need to make it again
