Foodies Unite #6 (trigger warning food) ANOTHER ONE BITES THE CRUST!

Muffins were a little too dense/chewy. But they stuck together! Success!

@Dazercat is that ravioli GF for real? Leftovers please!

Ya, by accident. I just grabbed 2 packages. Still don’t know if the triangles were gf or the squares. Shouldn’t gf have its own section? Not mixed in with the normies :joy: Not that I got anything against it.

I’ve been eating kumquats! Yum! Kumquats and :kiwi_fruit: kiwis and kumquats and yogurt, kumquats and everything ….

@Salty your meatloaf looks great! I’ve made lots and in the last number of years w venison and before that turkey. I grew up on it. Yum meatloaf sandwiches!!!
The last many, many, number of times I’ve made it I’ve used oatmeal instead of bread and added cooked mushrooms, lots of gently sautéed grated carrots, along with the other more traditional stuff. It’s great.
Plus the half bottle of catsup.
Editing to add just remembered I use jarred spaghetti sauce in the meatloaf and catsup on the top.

Yes definitely lots of tasty things I would have loved to put in the meatloaf. But if I had any chance of kiddo eating it, I needed to keep it as plain as possible :joy: no green bits, no chunks etc. I did sneak in some toasted dehydrated onion though

Needed a bit more salt. And the topping called for some brown sugar. Which I used half the amount called for or less, but I’d skip it all together next time. And maybe slightly less cooking time. I’m over cautious cooking ground beef

These just got delivered. The two flavours on the right are brand new and I’ve yet to try them.

It’s absolutely supposed to be in its own section, all alone, sad and pitiful. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Some of the pastas are very good. It will still never be AS good. I do have a headache along with stomach ache today. I believe I may have become more than a little intolerant to gluten, at this point.

Tonight I am planning a lovely meal that will take all of my attention to cook Tomorrow

  1. To keep this mind busy and distracted.

2: To have something to look forward to tomorrow.

  1. To have a nutritious meal to help my body throughout this cloudy moment.

Just can’t decide on what this big meal will be yet :relaxed:

First fish in my cast iron pan.
Atlantic Salmon with more stir fried veggies with bean sprouts. Easiest way to cook fish. Came out perfectly.
