Polenta in the house for the 1st time. I now know that Polenta and Grits are the same, except for one is yellow corn, and one is white corn.
I like grits more, texture - don’t know about the taste.

Thanks Rosa there’s a grocery store called “Northgate Market” here in Southern California they have fresh everything
I miss them so much! They sell them in numerous places here but there is NO gluten free. Tasteless wouldn’t matter - even the texture is miraculous!
I’ve had beef short rib cooking away in a flavoured stock all day. Finished it in a sticky glaze w/ Jasmine rice and Pak Choi.
Ouuuhhhh!
Not really food but had enough calories to do for lunch
I’ve got a rule, if I find something that tastes cherry, banana or coconut (it’s not so common here) I have to try it.
Glutenfree cashew oystersauce chicken wok (cashews served as a side because I’m allergic)
Served with
Glutenfree rice and tapioca instant noodles
And glutenfree glass noodles made of corn and beanstartch.
When we where into town today we discovered that one of the stores we use to visit have built a huge asian aisle, with plenty of glutenfree options. Including oyster sauce. I regret I didn’t buy the Teriyaki sauce as well. But I’ll do that next time
My happiest thing, right here! We have a couple of great Asian stores. However, since my accident, it is quite unwise (unallowed) to drive myself that far. Pssshhh…I miss my son who is joyful to grocery shop with.
Looks
I haven’t made that in so long! I think I will!
