Healing vibes back at you. Those stones are no joke. It took my daughter quite awhile to clear hers, but she did. Glad no fever. It will be good to check in with urologist again. Hopefully some progress is being made.
Iāve been on vacation, and my girlfriend met my parents for the first time this weekend, so there was a lot to plan and I lost track of time. Sorry for that!
I hope youāve had a lovely weekend so far and wish you all a great Sunday!
Oh itās great to see you. Excuse acceptedā¦girlfriend meeting the parents is a big step . Very happy for you friend. Hope the vacation has been enjoyable
Canāt believe a whole week has passedā¦alright Mattyā¦. @Planipennia whatās going on . Without you we may forget all about Friday lol. Just playing friendā¦hope you are enjoying your days (still on vacation?).
@erntedank hoping that you are starting to feel better
@Salty hope you heard back from Doctor or urologist. Hopefully itās good news and you will be rid of these stones soon. You have been on my mind just didnāt realize a whole week had gone by alreadyā¦
Well itās cold and gloomy today. I woke up before the dog started barkingā¦poor guy is still at it (over an hour). I donāt see how this is healthy for him. I donāt know which dog or apartment the noise is coming from but not in my building.
Gonna enjoy my coffee and rest up. Trying to figure out what I want for breakfast.
Happy Friday my peepsā¦hope itās a wonderful start to your weekend
@JazzyS !!! OMG yes itās friday!
where did this week go?
iām definitely feeling better allthough still need to be careful, slow, not overdoing it, resting a lot, a bit coughing here and there. But I can do everything I want and need to do so Iām grateful and content when it stays like this until full healing
Foggy here today, we are lazy on the couch, made soup and baked puff pastry to celebrate 3 years divorced. Of cours a big hot cocoa with whipped cream for dessert with the pastry.
The long reflection you can find here Are you affected by a loved one whoās an addict? - #1942 by erntedank
The short version is: Itās a fucking good day and Iām grateful
No plans for the rest of the day, maybe some putting books in shelfs in the library.
Happy 3 year celebration my friend - a wonderful 3 years of getting to know you. Love that you are doing so well and have come such a long way!
Yummy pastry and a souped up cocoa is a lovely way to celebrate. Glad you are starting to feel better too. Will check out your other post in a bit. Much love you dear friend
I took the day off as my wife is having surgery today, sheās donating her uterus to science, or something like that.
The day started off good, was able to go to the gym prior to hospital, but now we are at hospital and starving! Weāve been waiting for āgo timeā for a little over 2 hours now. As soon as sheās taken back, Iām free to get food (cāmon doc). Iām hoping for a burger, but Iād be happy with a sandwich at this point.
Weāve no clue if weāll go home tonight or if she has to stay, so we remain fluid, it is what it is.
Iāll ask everyone reading this the same thing I ask my kids at supper: What made you smile today?
I hope she will be okay. That is a big surgery. Hopefully they get her on some hormones quickly (or she is blessedly past menopause already). It can be a challenge being thrust into it. Sending much care her and your way. Hope you got a burger!!
Smileā¦well, hanging out with my cat and Bluey stuffie of my grandsonās. Kind of a bummer of a day. Such is life.
No worries friend - great to see you. So sorry to hear that you are sick. Hope you rest up and feel better soon. Very happy to hear that the meeting with parents and girlfriend went well
Iāll play. Friday was a working day but the shift was good. Iāve been having my coffee in front of my lit up Christmas tree every morning and it really is helping my mood. (No phone, no book, just coffee, Christmas lights and my thoughts).
Today I was reminiscing about a Christmas from my childhood. I used to sit and stare at our lit up Christmas tree through french doors when I was a kid. On my side of the french doors was an electrical outlet and one day when I was about 5 I shoved a lucky rabbits foot (why were those everywhere in the 80s) into the socket and the metal cap on the end conducted that electricity right into my tiny hand. The outlet remained charred black until we painted over it many years later, and the tree blinked out when it tripped the fuse.
My Mom told the story that I ran into the kitchen with a smoldering rabbits foot in my hand yelling āDaddy Daddy, fire!ā
This is a good memory for me and I wasnāt seriously hurt. I had 4 siblings so there were a lot of us breaking things (arms, legs) and shoving things into light sockets. The chaos that was the 80s in a big family made lots of great memories and we used to retell this story until we were all howling with laughter and had tears in our eyes. This made me miss making my Mom laugh but in a grateful way.
Chapter 2ā¦
Just kidding. Thatās all for today folks. @HoofHearted I am trying to think of puns with female reproductive nouns but I donāt want it to be anā¦
ovary-action. Best I can do.
Not yet I was to call my doctor by end of week if I havenāt heard from urologist (although my doc is closed Fridays, so Iāll call Monday). Curious of its moved into my bladder
