I had to detach a slug from our office door, and it was really hard to get rid of the slime sticking to fingers.

I’m glad it’s Friday! Today is the last day of May. And the last day of a month-long “screen-free challenge” for my kiddo at school. He’s done ZERO screen time. And he’s obsessed with his iPad, Nintendo, video games etc. I’m SO proud of him!! I’ve bought him lots of Lego, books, geodes etc so it’s been pricey but worth it. I’m enjoying my coffee and he’s waiting for his clock to strike wake-up time. He’ll get up and play Astronaut in the Ocean on repeat (he’s recently discovered the song and he loves it)
I work from home today. Yay! Tomorrow is supper out with my MIL (wish me luck; it’s a strained relationship).

Ah. Truth. I was moving some slugs from a shed door the other day and it secreted this yellow slime all over my hands and honestly it was impossible to get off. I had to scrub and scrub and scrub till so sore that my hands were burning.

Forget Spiderman, it would be better as SlugMan.

My kids hates me for having a general rule about no technology on weekdays. No YouTube either.

They do have the possibility to watch some TV during the evening Crash and Bernstein or Spirit Rangers is the favorite.
But usually they just play or draw.

I’m up and with coffee I’ll be ready to take in the day! Got a busy weekend with a festival I’m going to help at …I’m hopeful that I’ll survive and be able to keep up. Taking my bil for assist and back up. ODAAT

Good luck at the festival. We’re having a Greasers/ American vintage car meet here tomorrow.

Yes Greasers as in the movie Grease. I live in what we call Greasers county. Big expensive American vintage cars (Like Cadillacs) is huge here. People pay more for those cars than for their houses.

Merch and 50’s decorations and fashion sells as lemonade on a warm summer day. And there’s 50’ music every where. It’s a lifestyle.
