The marvel of peru aka 4 o’clock flower is taking over! I might need to tie it up. But a lovely wildflower popped up recently. Still smells like a dill pickle out here haha!

I want to bite right into it when it’s ready  but perhaps I’ll save for slicing lol

Past couple years we missed fruit on our trees. This year, we have some pears, honey crisp apples and plums. Some are looking pretty sketchy (haven’t done much care/thinning, or any pest control measures) but I’ll be happy for any tasty yield!

The first ever successful broccoli I’ve grown. My earlier monitoring and battles with the aphids paid off.

Hello gardeners.

Just got my raised beds ready tonight after ages of waiting.
I have some peas in what I started a while ago and also have some sprouts to transplant. Any thoughts on the rest of the bed? Thanks.
I’m in north eastern England

To me, broccoli tastes the “so much better than” buying from the store of any of the vegetables! With the multitude of individual sprouts, that begin to sprout, after the main head is pulled, even more so! @anon9289869 Enjoy your first head!
@Salty that is gorgeous fruit, esp that pear! Little man must be very excited!
All the fruit, vegetables. herbs, flowers are lovely!

My bell peppers are turning red!

Yup. I’ve got a pumpkin patch. How cool is that.

For a little context, here is my neighborhood backyard situation. No gardens. Just lawns.

A tomato harvest tonight. It might be a scant year for tomatoes in my garden but I sure have some interesting ones this year. And no pressure to preserve my harvest like the last couple years (that was intense!). The Black Beauties on the right are my favorite. Such intense tomato flavor, so delicious.

Love the colours!

Chile harvest tonight! Serrano, shishito and cayenne. Modest harvest this year but enough cayenne to try out my new dehydrator for cayenne powder. :hot_pepper:

I am soooo stinkin’ proud of my little red bell pepper harvest tonight! They smell wonderful. Can’t wait to try one in a salad tomorrow! There are two more not quite ready to pick. Yay!

These surprised me! I’m grateful they did well, just two little plants.

Sadly I never have good luck with bell peppers up here, no matter how early I start them in the spring or if I buy nursery plants. Trying an alternative shorter season sweet pepper this year. Don’t remember the name of it but I am hopeful.
