Grumpy A-holes (quitting cigarettes/ nicotine products) (Part 2)

I am 24 hours nicotine free, but I feel like an absolute bitch already. I find quitting nicotine really difficult :grimacing: I’ll try anyway!

Way to go with your 24 hours :clap:t4::clap:t4:… It’s gonna be a grumpy start (I apologized to everyone for my short fuse and bitchy attitude)…it gets easier and the attitude gets better…hang in there. You’ve taken the first step and that’s awesome :muscle:t4:

Hey hey 2 years today. :birthday::clap:t3::confetti_ball::tada:

I had more resets with this addiction than with alcohol but it can be done. Now when I see smokers I think ā€œI used to do that, I don’t anymore but I used toā€. It’s a tough one but a very satisfying habit to leave in my past.

That’s great! If you happen to choose to raft on the Arkansas river here in Colorado give me a heads up. I will go fishing that day and wave to you as you pass by.

Freedom lies on the other side and if you can abstain from one substance, you can crack the code to abstain from another.
Early days you are just cranky. It can’t be helped. But the farther you get from the usage the better you feel. Quitting is hard, staying quit is still kind of hard some days but much easier overall.

I still keep this card in my wallet. I don’t know if I actually wrote it out in 2004 (see date at the bottom) but it wasn’t much after. And only now have I been quit 2 years. I didn’t know that I had to tackle drinking before I quit smoking.

Make today one day, not day one. You’ve got this.
