One step at a time it is. One of these days you will be very grateful that you decided to not smoke. In the meantime, one step at a time one day at a time one moment at a time.

Love what Alisa and CJ said. You just gotta keep going.

I apologized to everyone around me in advance for my attitude and asked them to let me know if when I was being a real bitch so I could take a breath/ break to reset my body. The bitchines comes from our urges not being met and our nerves are shot.. We just have to find a different way to calm ourselves. It doesn’t last. Know you won’t have to repeat this ever again. :folded_hands:t4::flexed_biceps:t4:

I had a friend who made fake cigarettes. Cut off straws with cotton in the end. She ‘smoked’ them for a long time. Whatever helps.

Yesterday for the first time in a couple of years, I hiked up coast guard hill. Its a steep hike, about 1000 feet in elevation. I hiked it aggressively and didnt need to stop and catch my breath for the first time on this hike. We do heal! I was so proud of myself that I hiked the whole park twice!

On my way up the hill, I noticed a bottle of nyquil and a brand new large size vape pen on the side of the road. When I realized what the vape was, I thought about trying it. The “nobody will know” voice spoke to me. (I dont answer to anyone )

After making it up the hill without stopping, any temptation I was feeling was gone. I threw them both in the garbage can at the park. :muscle:

We do heal. How amazing that you were able to do that hike. The pics were lovely as well. Huge congrats on not listening to the stupid voice…it just is annoying how it inserts itself when we are not expecting it.

Some impressive smoke free time…yeah to healing lungs :lungs: :hugs:

Thanks for sharing. I think its healthy to know thoughts will still come even when youve had sustained sobriety but the claws and need to use on impulse is less.

Today walking out of an aa meeting i smelled a fruity vape flavor in the error. I took a big whiff and then was like no.no.dont want back on that insanity.

And then i carried on
