Gym selfies, weightlifting & fitness šŸ”„ (TW gym attire. Keep rules #6 and #7 in mind) (Part 1)

You’re progressing quite well man, there are so many factors in lifts that a lot of genetics can hold a person back from excelling at certain lifts vs others. Your lifting more than what 80% of the people in the world can lift I’d say that’s something to be very proud of dude keep it up :metal:

Ahhhh man it’s good the gym is the place where you learn how to put your ego on the bench, I’ve outlifted a lot of people and Ive met a lot of guys who can outlift me so it’s always good to be humble and realize a milestone or target is huge when you’re starting to hit big numbers. Keep it up :metal:

Congrats from me as well AndrĆ©! Awesome job! I know this means a lot. And precisely because I know…

I deserve to be in the bro category and you know it.
Also, lifitng with depression. That’s the endgame. Not ashamed to say it’s often cracked a light for me in the pitch black. Often cried with relief from it. Often only managed 1/3-1/2 of my usual stuff because could hardly move with the depression, but continued through the routine best I could. This shit be real as you would say.

Do you measure your progress? The 80% number will come from a site like https://strengthlevel.com/. that’s where I get my lofty ideas from.

@Dan531 absolutely feeling you on the night time schedule and shitty sleep. How do you deal with it? Do you lift on tired days or do you wait until you’ve rested?

If you got where you wanted you wouldn’t have anything to motivate you to go further, it’s not about a finish line dude, it’s a marathon of change and adjustments to be the best you can be and that perception of best will change over time.

All I ever wanted to do was bench 300, squat 400 and deadlift 500 and once I hit that I stopped pushing myself, that’s honestly why I don’t weightlift right now I’ve already proven to myself I can do things I never dreamed of, once I do go back it will be because of health not my ego. I can tell you right now I’m not as strong as I used to but I’m physically way healthier, in better shape, looking better and feel better on the inside. Physical strength isn’t happiness bud, focus on that and don’t allow yourself to ever have a limit.
