That sounds like a good day!
Let’s see…today I am going to try and slow down a bit and focus on quieting my mind. I feel like I have been running myself ragged, getting caught up in the need to be busy for the sake of it. While it does seem to help tire me out so that I sleep like a rock, I need to give myself space and work on some mindfulness and mental self care. I can still do things around the house, but if I slow down and work on getting some meditative elements worked in there I will be better off for it.
Good morning beautiful people! I’m going to take care of myself today by producing as many positive thoughts as I can, smiling and being energy that’s contagious. Reading for an hour and learning something new! Ha e a most wonderful day!
Amen!!! Nothing more self sabotaging than letting others opinions or negative energy into your boundary field. Les brown says it very clearly if we allow ourselves to become apart of the herd we blend in and lose ourselves. Stand apart do what is best for you! Congratulations! Today I am going to use my tools to manage anxiety around my partner being exposed to COVID. Exercise, breathing, meditative activities and distraction.
Today I’m taking a little road trip to go stay the night with my youngest daughter… gotta have my Keely time. Getting to cuddle with the doggies makes my heart happy, too. We’re doing manicures for each other, so tomorrow I’ll have shimmery purple nails… which also makes me happy.
@RosaCanDo Our little local mountain towns are riddled with Covid right now, so I know your concern. I’m sending love and hugs to you.
I went to bed early last night (for a Saturday night) and finally got 8 full hours sleep last night! So, I’ll keep up with my sleep hygiene routine tonight by shutting the screens off an hour or so before bed, make sure not to eat too close to bedtime, no caffeine after a certain time, etc. I’ve got a few odds and ends to do around the house but I will mostly make today a day of rest and reflection before the week begins tomorrow (even though my partner has the day off tomorrow, I’m keeping my routine).
I love days when I can stay home and not even go out. Working full time I don’t get to do that much. So, today on this foul weather day I am going to make chili in the crock and watch football with the SO and pets! Not much else!

Today I’m taking care of myself by eating this “Raffaello” piece of cake. I don’t know if you guys know Raffaello chocolate, but it’s dang good! No workout challenge will compensate for this. But it’s a bank holiday in Mallorca, I’m off… and I deserve it!

I am taking care of myself today by not drinking tonight, by eating all of my meals, by drinking lots of water, and by paying more attention to my children today with less screen time and more one on one time. Tending to their needs better makes me feel so good.
Honestly… I tried taking care of myself earlier in the day as I finally had some time for me. Did a meditation and prayer. Then the day got crazy. And later I will have a nice lavender bath I think
I’m glad you all are contributing to this thread! I took care of myself today by taking a breath and removing myself for a bit when I got angry. I don’t like feeling angry but sometimes it can be useful. This wasn’t one of those times. I am taking care of myself by going to bed at a decent hour. Goodnight!
