32, a week ago…still feel im 22 …
I’m 45, been drinking alcohol almost daily for the past 20 years or so, never been at least four days in a row without it. Ended that relationship 13 days ago, it’s a hard breakup and sometimes I miss the fun we had together but it was a toxic relationship that made me realize after quitting it wasn’t fun at all, only regret, pain and loss. Hope everyone has a great day/night, we got this peeps!
Well done on your 13 days that’s a massive accomplishment, what have you been doing to make sure that youmdont drinkmifmyou don’t mind me asking?I know that for me when I start thinking that nice got this is the exact time I far from have it. I wish you the best of luck!
Thanks for the reply @anon13078412. When I get up in the am I put my coffee on, sit look at the news read some forums and tell myself no matter what today is going to be a good day no matter what life throws at me. I try to start on a positive note hoping it will follow me through the day and it usually does. I look for positive quotes, speak to my gf first thing( awesome support she is) and tell myself this is going to be another successful day. Usually after a long day I’ll put my headphones on, listen to some positive podcasts, hit the gym, drink lots of water. Eating too much lately but that’s in the back burner for now lol. Have a great day/night, thanks for the support.
I’m 37 and a little over a month sober
I’m 51 yo chronologically, but I think I’m 27 (and act 13 much of the time!)
I’ve been alcoholic 20 of those years, working on living a sober life the past 14 months.
Turned 38 in January. Have had problems with drinking at times for at least 10 years. Binge drinking with short periods of sobriety starting (again) roughly 4 years ago. The longer binges edging toward daily drinking getting worst in the last year and a half or so. Two weeks sober tomorrow!
- Bottle a night of anything Alcoholic for 10 years. 4 years sober.
- I still can’t believe it. Time flies!
I’m on level 36.
35 but definitly feeling older than that some days lol
29 years old
16 year addict alcoholic
So many youngins!
I’m most of your mom’s age…
I’m 44 drinking since I was 19.
- Drank until 46. Drank a long time, probably hardcore on and off well over 30 years.
Too old… and tired
