Welcome to the Talking Sober clan @witchy :waving_hand: :innocent:

For me, the early days were all about getting to meetings and learning from people who had done it before. There are lists of meeting groups here: Resources for our recovery

There’s a bunch of good podcasts and books there too.

It’s always one day at a time. Don’t fret about the future or dwell on the past. What matters is staying sober now, and reaching out to sober folks to stay in touch (isolation is one factor in addiction).

Welcome Witchy.
Glad you found us.
Keep an open mind put in the work and learn from people that are sober.

Great advice so far…for me, keeping busy in between meetings was essential, esp. if I hung out with other sober persons. Idle time would lead me to trouble.

This is a great place to start. There is a reason we all are on this platform. Looking for support from people with similar experiences. I’m looking to become a better version of myself. Alcohol never allowed that for me. Had to be removed. I love what my sponsor once said. No one in their right mind goes to an AA meeting. It takes courage and being humble. This platform, AA meeting and sober friends are great ways to start. Enjoy the new beautiful journey. You’re worth it!
