Day 15 done. I’m taking tomorrow for rest, as I have a full day of work then a 4 hour drive home.

Day 16 & 17 . Had a nice HIIT swim session, alternating sprints and recovery over various distances.
This above all: to thine own self be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man.
Hamlet
Day 18 was easy!
Let gratitude be the pillow upon which you kneel to say your nightly prayer. And let faith be the bridge you build to overcome evil and welcome good.
Maya Angelou
Day 18 Forced effort but it’s done
I am going to count 45 minutes of shoveling snow as at least equivalent to 38 upright rows. I got in upper body, legs, core, and breath work.
I last winter observed the snow on a spree with the northwest wind,
The transparent shadows filled everywhere with leisurely falling, slightly slanting, curiously sparse but very large flakes of snow,
Every snowflake lay where it fell, the multitudinous leaves and branches piled, bulging white, defined by edge-lines of emerald.
A faint winter vapor hung a fitting accompaniment around and over the endless whitish spread,
And it put me out of conceit of fences and imaginary lines,
Cheerily braving the winter, the scenery of the snows and ice welcome to me,
A heavy snowstorm blocking up everything, and keeping us in,
But souls, hearts, thoughts, unloos’d.
from Winter, Walt Whitman
I would have counted that as the whole workout I’m gonna do mine after work
I did a virtual spin class tonight and that wiped me out! So a rest day today for me.
We’ve braved the belly of the beast,
We’ve learned that quiet isn’t always peace,
and the norms and notions
of what just is
isn’t always just-ice.
And yet the dawn is ours
before we knew it.
Somehow we do it.
Somehow we’ve weathered and witnessed…
We Rise, Amanda Gorman
Did mine earlier but didn’t post. Another day in the books
Hello! I think it’s gonna be the January challenge for me… I’m still struggling with my cold; voice like an elephant, coughing, no energy whatsoever! I haven’t been to the gym since one week!
And no, this is not a strategy to skip the 25 burpees from Christmas Day!
I hope you feel better. I’m sorry you are so sick
January I believe is the plank challenge. I made it halfway through that one last year
Things can only get better! If I’m feeling well, I’ll do the burpees on the 25th! Last time the plank challenge was on, I started it (I have been on the app and forum since 2018), but I was to shy/ ashamed, and never said anything! At the time I was still on and off drinking, unfortunately… so I ended up dropping out of the challenge! This January I’ll be in a 100%! On Dec 31st I’ll make 2 months AF!
That’s so exciting!!! Dec 31st is a milestone for me as well 3 years cig free
Wow! 3 years! What a great achievement!
Won’t have time for today but I’m gonna pick up the days I missed after the 25th.
Day 20 and 21 done. I’m glad I remembered them at the end of my workout.
Life is not lost by dying; life is lost minute by minute, day by dragging day, in all the thousand small uncaring ways.

I think the same can be said of finding joy - not so much in peak moments as in enduring tiny happinesses. I made up that word and I like it!
Day 22 done, most of the planks at yoga tonight.
Travel light, live light, spread the light, be the light.

Man I am failing at this month. I didn’t make today either
