March Yoga Movement...let's mix it up!

Still here! I did day 1 and 2. Day 2 was definitely too fast for me. Had to pause and rewind video several times. I need to have my eyes on screen to see what he’s doing, especially when he doesn’t say it very detailed. So yeah the day 1 video was more pleasant for me.

OK so this evening I did the day 1 video. Whew that is STRONG! My arms gave up in the push ups :laughing: And the reverse table top/ legs straight thing… Yea well that didn’t happen, ha. I felt very ungainly and am a hot sweaty mess right now but I really enjoyed it. Just what I needed! :sparkling_heart:

Struggled with the breathing exercises, I kept having to use my mouth for the occasional big breath as I felt I was running out. Maybe something I need to work on.

It is something we all need to work on. The majority of us don’t breath correctly.

I read Demi Moore’s biography…she is also a recovering addict and she noted the first time she really learned how to breathe was in her 20’s.

This is the firstajor tool for anxiety reduction anxiety etc…maybe all do a video on different types of breathing techniques :hugs:

Friday’s Yoga Flow cones again from Flow. More beginner friendly. Nice one to do in the morning if you can. He does throw some strength poses in but they can be modified as always.

Thank you I am going to try it right away! I just woke up :slight_smile: and today is much more calmer and more relaxed (not rushing around as soon as I jump out of bed lol). I’ll let u know how it goes :slight_smile:

I’m 105 days clean and sober today. Buy the grace of God…N/A…meetings…finding a sponsor…completing 90 mtgs in 90 days…this forum…reading and sharing as needed.

I joined this forum in 2017 so that shows you how long it took for me to stick. Thankful I am here now and not turning back

You can do it too. ODAAT.

One of my most strongest tools is exercise and Yoga. Daily except for Sunday. Routine definitely helps me.

All the planks were tough (kinda impossible) for me. Makes me realise how weak I am. I guess I need to keep it up if I want to be less feeble.

Missed saturday morning because had to start work early, oh no, because i’m not a member of the 5am club :grin:. Caught up today. Wow, i can’t do push ups, i do a few from my knees but than i collapse haha. But i had fun. Ready for today, it’s full sun, the beach better get ready for me.

One plank at a time. Remember…always modification on your knees until your core gets stronger.

So no official class today but a self-care activity.

Ie. Walk outside
Meditation
Journaling
Bath
Etc…

I took some days off over the weekend as I traveled to see some friends and family and struggled to fit it in. I would say catching up with loved ones counts as self care activities :laughing:
