Saw her exhibition Thursday here in Amsterdam and was blown away. Saw this biopic last night and was even more. Nan Goldin, what a woman. This is an artist and this is contemporary art that truly means and does something to me.

Agreed.
Took me two goes to make it through till the end, and that was even being captive on a long haul flight for 10 hours where generally you can sit through anything.
Soooooooo disappointing.
All colours of garbage.

Watched The Bank Of Dave, based loosely on a true story.

We have had a sofa / bed party with chocolate and some AF drinks. Just watching another movie now, the directorial debut by Dan Levy, GOOD GRIEF. It’s sweet, we are enjoying it. I loved Dan since Schitts creek, but it’s nice to see his lovely face in a film!

Just watched ā€œ6 balloonsā€, about addiction. A sister who is an enabler and there’s a kid involved. A lot of recognition (but another doc), so let’s see if there are some comedies listed above

I’m not sure yet quite what to make of it. A trip for sure. Fantastic acting and images. So let’s just say it’s a great movie right? Right.

I for some reason want to dislike Tom Cruise movies…but I don’t. Really enjoy all MI movies!

Me too! I think tonight is the night!

I’m sure I’ll love it as @SassyRocks and @Tragicfarinelli did.

Finally saw MI:7 1/2 - was pretty good, can’t wait for part two.

I recently watched Parallel on Netflix.

This is a sci-fi thriller about four 20-somethings who find a mysterious portal to an alternate universe. It has a low budget and no name actors who use excessive bad language, because that’s how young people talk?

The story was pretty good and thought provoking. If you like time travel, mind bending tyle of movies, give a go!

I rate 6 Neighs out of 10.

Last night, I continued my ā€˜Parallel universe’ kick and watched Coherence on Tubi.

This was another low budget, no-name flick that looks like it was filmed by someone fresh out of film school and directed by someone who doesn’t believe in scripts. Once you get over the shakey hand cam with exteme closeups and the chaotic cross talk, the story takes a dark and eerie turn that will leave you speechless. This one will live rent free in my mind for quite some time!

I give it 8 Neighs out of 10.

My daughter likes fantasy, we have watched Harry Potter, Narnia, etc, so I showed her the 1980s Willow. I remembered loving it as a kid and was a bit worried it wouldn’t stand up. But great pacing, humor, and 1980s Val Kilmer :purple_heart:.

Loved Willow, got my youngest into fantasy when he was little so he now loves all the old classics that I used to watch, Never ending story, Dark Crystal etc.
I’m straight but I’m with you on 1980s Val Kilmer :fire:

I was apparently in a twisted headspace yesterday and watched Ingrid Goes West, Saltburn and Pearl on my day off. I’ll now need a solid break before I watch anything dark and obsessed. I think a Miyazaki as a palette cleanser tonight.
