I tried to think of some other good ones but I can’t.. baseball was a huge part of my life. Used to watch espn every morning with my cereal and I’d play catch with myself if I had to. I was obsessed with baseball. But I also was close to a major league stadium. Played from T ball all the way into highschool but typical story of trying other things or hobbies.. I say that to say thats why those films matter to me.. I kinda wanna watch angels in the outfield now that im seeing this list again.. just gotta find what service its on..

Same reasons here. I actually was just recently thinking about how I’d play baseball by myself outside of my American grandmother’s house. I’d be out there for hours, throwing the ball up to myself, hitting it over the hedge, then having to go chase the ball down the street. The bat was super loud, one of those big thick plastic ones. I’m sure the neighbors loved me.

If you ever have the chance, def recommend Ken Burns’ ā€œBaseballā€ documentary. That was done by PBS and fairly certain its on their streaming service.

Angels in the Outfield was Disney, so they probably have it. I don’t have Disney+, but I do have cable and TruTV seems to have the airing rights to it right now. Seen it a few times over the last few months.

I had never seen Moneyball until like 2 years ago, strangely. Great movie.

This was intense.

Then watched the Harrison Ford movie version of it last night.

They were so different. I guess the tv series was more intense. Jake Gyllenhaal did a great job. But I love Harrison Ford. But the original was in the 90’s. So old :joy: But I hated the ending on the tv series. Bonnie Bedelia was great :+1: Glad I saw both.

TV series was better  maybe because I watched it first. And we’ve come a long way since the 90’s

Saturday night - Police academy, Jurassic Park, beer fest.

Sunday - empire records, hackers, dazed and confused.

Only one of these has been streamed. Love having a physical library again. Slowly but surely.

Peaky Blinders film… 5/10 for me. Meh and meh. It didn’t even feel like a Peaky Blinders product to me.

One battle after another… 8.5/10. Amusing and enjoyable. Leo was good. Felt current.

It’s an ok watch if you never watched PB. Or if you are a super fan unwilling to let go… For me, it pissed on a beautiful series. :face_with_symbols_on_mouth:
