November workout challenge

Day 12 done! :white_check_mark: + 7K walk In the morning. I left the house at 7:15 in the morning, on my day off… which sounds a bit stupid, but I had slept 7 hours non-stop, and was feeling good! :muscle:t2:

I finally returned to running after a couple weeks layoff waiting for the medical opinion on my foot. I have over-used my feet and legs and they are harmed. My knees as well, to be honest. I feel called to examine my relationship to exercise, my body image, my vanishing humility. To continue without modification is for me to invite more rapid and severe damage.

I felt that little workout! Start my regular gym tomorrow morning at 5am. Excited to get back into gym mode and plan on keeping the November challenge going as well.

Day 12 done! :white_check_mark: + 7 K walk morning walk. MTD I have 28K done, I only go Sunday’s and Mondays now (my days off), during the week I get home and it’s already dark. This afternoon I have a gym session at 5:00 pm! :muscle:t2:

The early darkness is messing with me, too, particularly this year for some reason. I live close to the 45th parallel, so halfway between the equator and the pole. That makes the change in daylight throughout the year very noticeable. We are about 5 weeks from the winter solstice, so we are close to our minimum daylight hours, about 9.5 hours today, and at solstice closer to 7 hours per day. In high summer, we have almost 18 hours of sunlight.

These are days I’m grateful to have my indoor trainer bike set up!

Day 13 done! Started my gym this morning, felt great. It’s sort of a bootcamp style workout, lots of different workouts every day, very fast paced. Came home and decided since i was already sweaty I’d get day 13 checked off!

In my case it’s not so extreme, but I definitely like the “summer time” better than the short winter days! (Didn’t Janis sing something about that! :yum:) We’re having some excellent weather in the Mediterranean lately! Bright sunny days, with 24 degrees! :sunny:But that will change soon… moving a bit off topic here! :face_with_peeking_eye:

That’s how my virtual workouts are. I got my ass handed to me this morning with burpees and more :joy: Great job on getting back into the gym :confetti_ball::confetti_ball::confetti_ball:

Today active recovery! I went to the gym; we did the following workout;

• 500 run - 50 squats, 50 sit-ups, 50 reps upper body
• 1 KM sprint (I mean, really??? :exploding_head:)
• 500 m run - 50 squats, 50 sit-ups, 50 reps upper body
1KM run - 100 squats, 100 sit-ups, 100 reps upper body

That’s was more than active recovery! I guess I’ll sleep like a baby! :smile:

I got a little cranky toward evening today. I’m glad I have this challenge to concentrate on, days like this.

Day 14, I’m counting going to the gym this morning as well. Another hard workout and my legs are sore! Managed to get some stretching tonight and used my roller to help loosen up my legs. Tomorrow is cardio day, least favorite day at the gym, but so necessary.

Day 15 done! A little later then I wanted but i got it done. Went to the gym again this morning. Good workout, a little cardio heavy but some strength and core mixed in. Ate fairly well also, feeling good about today.
