Very nice!! My fastest is an hour and 8 minutes.
I feel like you are going to be beasting out half marathons soon
I thought about it for a sec but 6.2mi vs 13.1mi is a big jump!
You just work up to it slowly like you did with the 10K
Well, that happened quick! Nice!
The difference here was 1) i used runkeeper to time my intervals and 2) less hills.
Same here. I’ve been battling with my right knee for months, but I have run through the pain (which is stupid). I have walked more to ease the pain and at least I get some exercise which is really important for me.
This is a happy stick person who does not run. This stick person is so happy for those who do run and share their passion here so this happy stick person can live their dream of running through you.
Test run to check out how my hip is doing. I haven’t ran in like 2 weeks and it didn’t hurt while I was running but it is still bothersome. It hurts when I try and do leg raises or when I put my weight into it. Ready to see my PT wednesday and hopefully she can tell me what’s going on in there
Any more test runs? Hope it’s feeling OK.
Just putting in miles, myself. Realizing, yet again, my overall mood in life is way better the more running I do.
Haven’t done any more test running I miss running endorphins so much. I saw my PT today and she thinks my smaller glute muscles are weak and causing the hip pain. She set me up with a new at home program they have. Did my little exercises this morning. I think I will wait another week or so while doing the exercises and try for another short test run. Trying to be patient but damn it’s hard
Dipping my toes in the running waters. This was decent stuff. It felt relativity easy but my heart rate was sky high! It’s crazy how much progress can be lost so quickly
So happy you were able to test the waters. Hows your body feel about it?
My hip is pretty sore but I can’t tell if it’s from the run or the PT exercises. I plan to just keep doing what my body feels like instead of trying to do a training plan. Just keep them short and sweet for now and hopefully I’ll be back to longer distances in a few months
Half Marathon today. I went out at a PR pace and held it until 9.5 miles. Then realized I just didn’t have it today so I coasted in. Felt so good just to be out there, I had a great day.
Just a little further than last time. Cold weather is hitting and I love it. I love running when it’s under 50F. It was 38 this morning. Now to eat before I have to start my fasting for my back injection
Sometimes my “memories” make me sad. I don’t know if I’ll ever get back to this point. Last year was such a good year for me physically, this year not so much
I can relate. I also miss my running peak. I’m ashamed how bad shape I’m in today, but luckily there’s always a way to get back in, it just needs time and consistency. You got this!
I mean, really, you’re not that far off of your peak pace. I feel like if you could string together some pain free weeks/months, you’d be right back to where you were. I guess that’s probably the hard part, huh? You just don’t know when that will happen.
How do you feel after your cold weather run?
Man, don’t bring logic into this
I’m getting home from the back injections and I have a small amount of soreness but my back doesn’t hurt!! After a year of being in pain and it getting increasingly worse I feel ok. I have bent over without pain. I laid down and rolled over without pain. I’m feeling hopeful this nerve ablation will be the answer to my pain. I’ll have a follow up with pain management next week
