My first attempt at copper electroplating over clay. As you can see in the bottom photo after 24 hours in the bath there were still a couple places where the conductive paint was showing through. I am thinking it was because i was handling it with my hands, I should wear gloves for safety purposes. Now I will so it doesnt ruin my future projects.
Just a quick little drawing I did in creative recovery group today, it was cool we had 20 minutes to do the outline, 20 for shading or color and then 20 to finish it. So I did this in a hour, gonna perfect it and get it tattooed
Nashville to Houston last night. Felt great throwing those free drink coupons out! I’d given them away earlier this year, but realized I may be better off throwing them away
Not sure where im really going with this one, trying to say break the chain of addiction in my own way. Started it in creative recovery. Need to rework and do the chain better
I decided to use my cigarette savings to buy supplies to make lures
This is my first polymer clay sculpture. I will make a silicon mold and pour soft plastics into it for a bottomfish lure. When I pour the color possibilities are limitless.
Ive sparked a new avenue of creativity that im excited about!
That looks awesome Mike. You have a good eye for shape and for symbolism (the hands holding each other as a symbol of love and the parent-child connection). I don’t know where you’re at right now but if there’s some way you can get a tattoo business going I am sure you’d build a strong customer base. One step at a time and only if it’s helpful if course - but if it’s something you’re thinking about, I can tell you that you have the ingredients for success as an artist.
I was trying to build a business last year, it’s still my dream today. I would like to try again soon, possibly. I will be getting it tattooed soon for sure
