I was alot skinner before I became an alcoholic. Gained some weight with drinking but not bad. Stop drinking…I blow up…

Right. Listen to your body. I used to be ultra skinny from other drugs and alcohol made me look ‘normal’, for a while. Til I quit exercising and gained more than I wished. I figure we’ve been consuming too many empty calories, contributing to weight gain and now, we replace those with whatever in order to replenish lost nutrients (even if it’s the not so great kind). We need to nourish. Even if it seems ‘bad’ right now, bc ultimately we will regain our energy to rekindle the desire to move. Food = energy. And once we satisfy this desire, we can then use it as fuel to move. Run, eventually, like you used to!
You’ll balance out, give it some time. I bet your body and mind are much happier
Holy cow aint that the truth. When I quit drinking a kitkat, reeses peanut butter cup, or a piece of cake…that was within a 100 yrds of me was a goner.
It will eventually level out.
