I remember me wanting so bad to have the “all Blue” look that was so popular during the time I was young. The blue eye kohl pencil and blue mascara look. The lady my Ma worked with at the fastfood place we had rocked that. She was almost platinum blonde and look totally fabulous. Me church raised wasn’t even allowed to wear makeup during that time. And when I finally could I realized that Blue Mascara isn’t even visible when your lashes are pitch black

it’s not about drinking its about life, my partner has been diagnosed with a deteriorating spine and its getting worse very quickly, there is no cure and before long she will have to leave her job. The worst bit is watching the person you care about in constant nerve pain everyday, not being able to sleep or do simple things that she used to do and there is nothing I can do to help. So 300 days sober by the end of the day and TBH I don’t give a shit, there are more important people and things in life to worry about than how many drinks I’ve had lately. Life doesn’t change whether I’m drunk or sober it’s just shit full stop.

I’m really sorry about your life partner and your struggles. That must be really hard on both of you. I’m sure some of us have been in similar positions and it there is a feeling of helplessness that can grind at our souls. And it is a terrible feeling. I know that horrible feeling. It fucking sucks.
But life absolutely will change for the worse if we’re drunk. And you know this.
Great job getting to 300 days. You know it’s worth it.

Very hot sweaty day. Day 14 and I’m super proud. Had my daughters holy communion and we went for a meal. My family didn’t drink to help me get through these early stages. I didn’t ask them. We are now all chilled watching a movie. Feeling happy today

I am very sorry to hear about your partner. That is extremely hard for your partner and u to see. I can understand your pain, but at least sober u can be there for them. How shitter it would be for her and u to add guilt and frustration due to your drinking into the mix.
