Don’t worry, everything doesn’t need to be perfect, pleasant and full of rainbows and happiness We’re hearing about how to make life better and fulfilled with great moments so often, that one starts believe that if you feel down, angry, unsatisfied or any other emotion marked by society as negative, that it’s not ok and that we don’t work on ourselves hard enough.
Besides I discovered that it’s impossible to see and accept everything what’s going on with pink glasses. Sometimes I feel in the way I’d prefer not to but my strength is in taking it for what it is, rather than denying and pretending that I am 100% of time amazing.
If you expect from life to be perfect and take your responsibility for if it’s not, it’s huge amount of pressure. That can’t work for anyone.
So enjoy all the good in your life and inhal it with a deep breath and beside accept and let go everything other. Or deal with it with your best if you must
All the stuff happening to us are valuable lesson. What’s good is that we have choice in how we react to things
Congratulations on your three years and going forward! So happy for you with your sobriety and all your growth towards your happiness and sense of self. Sounds like you celebrated your anniversary in a good way and have a nice memento with the tattoo! Big congrats! Hugs.

I’m thankfully not in the habit of expecting life to be perfect. what you say is very true: I’m working hard on accepting the parts that are ugly and hard with less judgement. Ironically by making more space for them, they become easier to bear. I’m never far from gratitude and am blessed to feel blessed rather a lot. Thanks for being on this journey with me!

@Yoda-Stevie I’ve always been rather afraid of the sea but I like mountains so I often think of when the weather unavoidably turns on a mountain and you just have to adjust how you go about things. Sometimes just wait. But the scary or painful parts belong just as much.
