It will get better Emilie, don’t loose hope on that! I was sober for 5 years before and I definitely felt ok and comforteble in a room full drunk people.
Well as comforteble as a sober person can be, because we all know drunken people can be very annoying 
I even was too comfortable with my sober life, it felt easy and that’s when I start thinking I was “cured” and could drink now and then.
I’ve learned my lesson and 15 months sober again now.
Keep going Emilie and stay focussed 
Congratulations with your almost a year sober, I hope you reward yourself with something really nice. You deserve it!
