Weightloss CHECK IN : dont give up (Part 1)

Hey everyone! I just recieved my test results for my health today and they were much better than I expected! My ultrasound was normal. At my heaviest weight I was pre-diabetic and had high blood pressure. I currently am not diabetic at all, blood pressure is normal, I have a 2% chance of having a heart attack in the next 10 yrs, and I have no other issues except for 2 hormones that are slightly lower and are easily fixed with a medication. I am so grateful that I’m on the right path. So far that’s a 35lb drop in weight from my heaviest. Im currently trying to fix some issues tho with my diet. I have had bad upset stomachs lately so had to purchase a couple things to help with the issues that my stomach are having. Hoping things sort out ao I can stay on keto

148 lbs, plodding on. Have been having a lot.of problems with my gallbladder (pain and constant upset tummy). Getting me down a bit, just over a month until I see the consultant. I found out that intermittent fasting is bad for gallbladder too so having to give that up. On such a low fat diet I will still lose weight I think. I have lost 6lbs in 3 weeks, not sure if that will slow down as I get closer to my goal.

Great news that your test results were so positive @Butterflymoonwoman

I’m trying this keto thing and I feel terrible

I know it’s temporary but I don’t want to eat any more eggs

Oh I am sorry but you made me laugh. I feel the same way about salad!!! I never thought I would say this, but I am really enjoying beans. Would that work?

I don’t know much about keto but think that is ‘normal’ in the early stages. What sort of symptoms have you got?

The symptoms I have are rage and wanting to eat pasta. Serious no?!!!

Deadly  Sounds like blood sugar problems. I have no advice but lots of sympathy

Well luckily for me I’m in uk so I can just go to bed but I’m not writing off pasta for breakfast!

I love beans but they don’t agree with me (as my nan would say)!

Think we may have the same Nan  Also the UK, will think of you tomorrow when I am having my low fat breakfast and wishing it was cake!

Oh yummy! I’m not sure I’ve seen them in the UK. I’ve tried those conjac noodle things which were OK and a good substitute.
For me it’s fruit that gets me if I try and cut carbs. I think when I first quit alcohol I got massive sugar cravings and didn’t want to put on weight (which I did anyway) and so ate loads of fruit and now I’m kinda addicted to that! So my new alternative is cucumber and celery but it’s very hard to stay under the net cards needed to be in ketosis. I’m not so bothered about bread, pasta etc it’s fruit and veg I crave!

Hey friends. Just got back from a work trip. When I travel for work I don’t eat a lot and I usually do tons of walking. It also helps immensely to not drink alcohol during social hour! Anyway, checking in at 204.2. I have an appointment with a dietician on Monday, and I hope to discuss with them my roller-coaster past of weight gain and loss and try to figure out a good lifestyle plan for me once and for all. Have a great day, peeps.

I was supposed to weigh in yesterday (being monday) but honestly wad intimidated by the scale. Since I quit keto amd started eating carbs again, I knew the scale would go up. Surprisingly I only gained 4lbs in 3 days (and this is with poor eating habits the past 3 days also :sleepy:). Anyway, I tracked my meals for today ahead of time so I can see where my macros lie for where I want to be. It’s crucial for me to track bcuz otherwise my eating disorder will sneak up and ill be thrown right off track. I’m not going back to where I was 1 month ago. I have control over what I put into my body so that’s what I have to remember  it’s so nice to see others making progress :relieved:
