Weightloss CHECK IN : dont give up (Part 1)

I totally get that! Logging food is a great way to stay in the “sweet spot” for loosing weight or in my case gaining weight. Glad to hear it’s helped you and congrats on hitting your goal and going beyond it even!!

I find Maintaining is harder than loosing. And I want to be at a point, obviously, where I don’t have to log stuff. Again without the Holidays it should be easier. With sweets My addictive brain takes over and I can never have more than one piece of pie or piece of cake or whatever.

I totally feel you on that!! Glad to know I’m not alone or not the only one who’s doing this kind of thing.

I used to track calories as well but I can eye ball what I need after a year of tracking. Also writing down and logging what I need to gain is nuts. I’d be on my phone or writing none stop. Which I did to get to the point of eyeballing it and knowing my limits.

If I were to write down a whole day of what I eat y’all would be either shocked or amazed lol I have to eat around 5,000 cal a day to get that good weight and cut the fat at the same time. That’s how high my metabolism is, even still at 30. It’s a blessing and a curse lol

I’m just little guy who’s trying to get bigger

I understand you and feel you completely on that. It’s sometimes a struggle to keep things in moderation so you don’t hinder prior accomplishments.

I love intermittent fasting. Its definitely something I will continue when I hit goal weight just as a way of maintaining.
I do 20/4 so I eat at 12pm then again at 4pm. Occasionally I get hunger pangs at around 8pm but they soon go away. I am never hungry in the morning up until around mid day now. I’ll have a black coffee then be fine until meal time.

Yeah that’s quite a difference isnt it!?
It is quite low calories I suppose but I have a good 25lbs to lose and want it off asap.
My meals are always quite big so I dont feel starving on it. I’ve become quite good at getting the most food for my calories now

I finally got my walking mojo back this morning. Went for a long costal walk and even though I didn’t hit my 10k step in one session, I still feel like I’ve climbed a mountain. Because I haven’t pushed myself walking for about two weeks now, 5ks feels like a 100 :joy:… I feel good for getting out there though. Tomorrow I’m going to get out before sunrise and start my walk at 5am :trophy:

oh and congrats y’all on here with all the wins. Everyone is doing phenomenonally :trophy:

Checking in after coming in under weight goal earlier today.
Lunch. 2 crappy pieces frozen pizza :face_vomiting:
And a little leftover quiche and small salad.
Dinner shepherds pie.
And I splurged on a little vanilla ice cream. 2 scoops. Not over filled.
Got my walk in even though it was freezing and beginning to snow.

Got a new batch of smoothies in. My personal fave.

Sometimes I find it difficult to have smoothies when it’s only 20 degrees out.

Sunday weekly weight check in: 72.8kg. Nothings really changed again. I will now cut out sugar completly in coffee and also I will cut out fruit for this week and see how I go. I think sugars affect me. I don’t eat anything else processed or heavy. I’ve been having one meal a day , and fruit and coffee the rest of the time. I’m not eating late. I’m not eating breakfast. My first and only meal is about midday-1pm… The two things I will improve are more cardio excerise and cutting out sugar. I will see how I go by next sundays check in.

My weekly Sunday weigh in… I am up .2 of a lb.

Starting weight 9 weeks ago: 151.8 lbs.
Last week’s loss: 3.2 lbs.
Last Sunday’s weight (8 weeks): 141.2 lbs.
This week’s loss (gain): +.2 lbs.
Today’s weight (9 weeks): 141.4 lbs.
Rough goal weight (give or take): 115-120 lbs. (But in all actuality it’s much more by how I feel and how my clothes fit).

Im not going to get riled up or discouraged. What Im doing and the path Im on is not going to be a quick fix. It took me many months (about 1 1/2 years - end of June 2019-November 2020) to go from 122 lbs to nearly 152 lbs. This time around is for my lifetime and my health for the long haul.

Please forgive me if this is an over share, but Im just finishing up my monthly womanly cycle, Im willing to bet the farm my lack of loss of weight/slight increase in my weight is due to that.

Last week I lost over 3 lbs in one week and although that felt amazing, I knew that I would not continue to lose at such a rate and that is really OK.

This week I’m going to start 2 new 4 week programs within the Peloton system. One is to work on discovering my powerzones to better learn where I should be working at on the bike to be most effective for me. Also a core program to work the mid section. That is where I carry all my weight in a horrible way.

This Wednesday our treadmill is due to get delivered as well so, thats going to to add yet another dimension to round out my workouts.

I always liked this quote…

NO EXCUSES - JUST SOLUTIONS!

Another one I’ve always like…

DECIDE - COMMIT - SUCCEED!
