Down from 270 to 244 after my stomach surgery Dec. 7. Feeling lighter walking around!
I love seeing people’s progress and gym selfies as well although I can’t go to the gym at the moment due to Covid lockdown.

Just trying to be accountable until I get home and can have my regular schedule back.
Enjoy myself.
Starting my sugar counter really helped me stop soothing with chocolate and ice cream and pastries and all other types of sweets. etc…. I’m not missing it at all.
@Butterflymoonwoman
Today is my third day no sugar at all.
I’m determined!!
That’s what’s most important
Healthy snacky snacks
Falafel balls dipped in terriyaki sauce
So yum.
The whole packet is about 450 calories. So don’t eat the entire pack LOL!
6 balls is about 145 calories.
A yummy healthy snacky snack.
I’m 5”9 and 152. I am normally on the smaller side of 145. The holidays were tough. Already back at it
Weigh in 142.2 lbs. Down a lb
Going to buy some protein powder today.
Had lunch yesterday, 5 leaves of romaine Lettuce, didn’t feel bloated after that one
Slow and steady wins the race. Enjoying a hot lemon drink for breakfast everyday:
Lemon juice
Chopped ginger
Hot water
Shake of ground Cayenne pepper.
Just this present moment~~together we can!
That hot lemon drink sounds potent!! I bet there’s alot of health benefits to that! I kind of wanna try that!
Give it a try Dana! Apparently it kick starts the digestion process and let’s you fully digest last night’s dinner, the naturopath I was reading calls this housecleaning : )
Oh wow! Love this! How much of everything do u put in? Is it like a cup of hot water? With a fresh drops of lemon juice and alittle ginger and cayenne?
The recipe from Dr Jonn Matsen and his book, Eating Alive, Prevention Thru Good Digestion:
1 cup hot water with
2 Tbsp. Lemon juice (or juice of 1/2 lemon)
Pinch of Cayenne (and or Ginger)
Pure Maple syrup (to taste, optional)
Also this from the same book:
Oh great! Thank u! I am pretty sure I have cayenne. I know I don’t have ginger tho. But I do have lemon juice and of course water lol so I will give this a try! Do u know notice any benefits so far?
I did lose 34 lbs.
It doesn’t feel toxic like coffee does to the tummy.
It gives me a bit of pride knowing that I’m looking after myself and as Dr Matsen said, develop interest into really tuning into noticing how your body feels and responds after eating something, and this can guide you.
Didn’t want to weigh in. But weighed in a day late. Up again. 205.2. At least I’m being accountable. I know I got some work ahead of me when I get back to Flagstaff. I have confidence I can get back to where I was if not better.
Yay!! I get to maintain and eat just a tiny bit more now, but I know I need to stay focused. Sponsor says this will be the hard part!
Eric @Dazercat, all that moving should burn a few calories off. You got this!
Thanks Owen. Actually looking forward to being home with my trails and some home cooked meals.
The food and restaurants are just too dang great out here in LA.
Good luck maintaining. It took a little work for me to maintain. Figure out how much more food to add to my daily. Nice to have another challenge.
And congratulations on loosing 37.8 pounds. That’s awesome work.
It would be tough trying to lose with yummy restaurants often.
Thanks for the kind words friend
When I first joined 2 years ago I also started my weight loss journey. I lost almost 50 pounds. Had to put ten back on. I’m actually in the trying to maintain phase. I like 195-200. Lbs. prefer 195 though. Giving up the booze and sugar has helped a lot.
50 lbs is a huge effort, Well done!
Let’s maintain for the long run!!
Have a good night Eric.
