What Are You (yes, YOU) Doing TODAY For Your RECOVERY?

Hows the weekend been treating you?

Good sleep, rest and food.
Checking in here.
Editing videos. My YouTube channel is a gift of recovery. I bought the cameras with my beer money. I spend time I used to spend drinking making videos. Its a constant reminder that my time has value if I’m not drunk.
If I don’t hear from skipper, I may paint later today. Painting is another gift of recovery.
Staying focused on avoiding the first drink.
Not paying attention to the holidays. I used to check out this time of year. I’m grateful I don’t have to do that anymore! I’m grateful that they are almost over!
Looking at new ways to invest my beer money.

I am plugging along happily sober. Hope you are doing great. It is so wonderful to see you here and staying active with your posting. There is a trend here for those posting regularly of remaining sober. Our common goal of a desire to stay sober keeps us connected which is instrumental of success.

Very fitting meme. I believe it and have experienced that since being active within the community. It’s been a major support for me, whether my days are going well and not so well. Support through it all… I love it!

I finished my video this morning, uploaded and ate a healthy breakfast.
I slept good, took a nap after breakfast. Skipper called We have a weather window tomorrow. We may go, we have to look.
Copyright strike on music I paid for the rights to use… Frustrating but refusing to give away my serenity. I filled out the dispute. It will work itself out
I will get my cameras ready. Every time I do, I acknowledge how good it feels investing in recovery with money I would have drank away. It keeps me focused. I appreciate having something positive, instead of how I used to live.
Clean up my place so I wont have to when I get off the water.
reflecting on how many changes I have made along the way and what they have added up to.
Thanking higher power! :muscle: :crab:

I crabbed yesterday and I stayed away from the bar when I got in.
I stayed away from people drinking.
I did not have to go to the store for anything so there was no beer aisle to look at.
I made it to the safety of my alcohol/drug free zone. (home)
I ate a snack and passed out from working hard.

Today, Im starting here.
I’m going to work on videos while listening to something recovery related.
I bought a huge ribeye steak with some of my beer money to go with The crab I brought home yesterday.
Rest/eat good/self care.
